Thank you this McDonald for making my day end as a nightmare. I ordered McCrispy Caesar wrap meal from the drive through at 22:50.
Ok, I can understand that nobody wants to work overnight, but that’s not the excuse of careless and horrible attitude towards a customer who would like to finish her day with one McDonald’s meal. Unfortunately, what I experienced was not only bad service, but also bad food quality.
No Greetings and guide When we arrived, there was no cars at all at the drive through lane, and we waited for at least 1m before a staff took our order without any greetings like “Good evening, how can I help you?” I don’t mind this, but the point is we need to repeat three times of our order so the staff could record it right while with only 3 items in my order.
After the staff took my order, she just asked us to drive up without greetings at the end again nor any guides to which window. This McDonald has two windows for drive through. The first one shows “Pay here” and the second one is for pickup. However, the staff did not ask us directly to go to the second window and there was no sign at the first indicating driving forward to the next one. So we had no idea but had to wait there for some time until we saw the staff gesture.
Her gesture of asking us to come was not that polite if I have to say. That was more like saying “Come if you dare” with one finger moving. And more important is she did not speak to remind us which she could have. What if we didn’t see her gesture, how long would we wait? What if we got horned by next customer?
From the beginning until now, my mood had already been turned down by the bad experience.
After we arrived at the second window, she let us pay and gave us the drink, but the food was not ready and the staff did not tell us. After three minutes, the staff finally gave us the bag and it was more like she dropped it from the top to us and she didn’t apologize for the waiting and no “Good night” said at the end.
This is Canada, where is famous for being polite. But unfortunately I did not feel it at all the whole time at this McDonald. I went to many McDonald’s even at midnight and none of those were like this one making me upset. At least, as a service worker, being polite to the customer should be the basic principle. Don’t say I deserve this kind of service because no tips are required at McDonald’s. Being polite should be the job duty regardless if tipped or not.
Wrong item and bad quality I order a Caesar Crispy Chicken Wrap, but what I got was a Chicken & Bacon ‘Pie’ as when I was trying to take it out from the bag, everything just dropped out. As shown in the picture, the wrap was not “wrapped” at all.
So I went back inside for customer service and showed them what happened. From my previous experience, at least they should have wrapped it tight and put a sticker on the outside too to make the wrap maintain its shape. Luckily, another staff made me a new one which is wrapped tightly so nothing went out.
That’s why I’m giving 2 stars for them solving problems quickly.
This McDonald still has a lot to...
Read moreMcDonald’s has long been a go-to fast-food chain for many, and my recent visit reaffirmed its reputation for consistent satisfaction. While it may not offer the culinary complexity of upscale establishments, McDonald’s delivers reliable food and service that meet expectations.
One of the highlights of my experience was the efficiency of the service. The staff worked diligently to take orders and ensure prompt delivery, even during busy periods. I appreciated their attentiveness and ability to maintain a high level of service, making the ordering process smooth and convenient.
The menu at McDonald’s is extensive, offering a range of classic items that have become iconic over the years. The Big Mac, with its signature sauce and stacked patties, continues to be a favorite among customers. The fries, with their crispy exterior and fluffy interior, consistently deliver on taste. The McFlurry, with its combination of creamy soft serve and various toppings, provides a delightful dessert option.
It’s worth noting that McDonald’s has made strides in recent years to offer healthier choices. The inclusion of salads, grilled chicken options, and fruit alternatives provides a more balanced selection for those seeking healthier alternatives. While the focus remains on convenience and affordability, the introduction of these options demonstrates a commitment to catering to a broader range of preferences.
While the food at McDonald’s is generally enjoyable, it does fall short of the culinary experiences found at higher-end establishments. As a fast-food chain, it primarily serves as a quick and satisfying option for those on the go. The taste is consistent, but it may lack the depth and complexity found in gourmet dining.
Additionally, the ambiance of McDonald’s is more utilitarian than cozy or upscale. It’s designed to accommodate a large number of customers efficiently, with limited emphasis on creating an intimate dining experience. However, the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and provides ample seating for patrons.
In conclusion, McDonald’s deserves its four-star rating for its reliable service, iconic menu items, and convenience. It may not offer a gourmet experience, but it consistently delivers tasty food at an affordable price. Whether you’re looking for a quick meal on the go or a familiar favorite, McDonald’s is a dependable choice that...
Read moreLet's start off by saying I come here everyday of the week and spend roughly $150-$200 monthly and $2000+ annually at the particular location alone!
I usually visit between 11am - 2pm and the morning staff is great and everyone sort of knows me because I do mobile order pickup on daily basis.
I'm writing this because this is the second time a situation like this has occurred during evening crew. First time I let it go but I will go into detail as it was repeated again today.
On July 17th 2019 I did mobile order Caramel Sundae order # 2565. I arrive and waited 30 minutes on the (1) pickup spot and after nobody showed up I went inside to inquire, after asking for manager (don't know name, description: short hair, 5ft tall, slim) looked through the screen and finally found my unserved order. The Sundae had melted and I was given an option of waiting another 10mn to make a new one or just take a refund and leave. There was no apology from her. So I insisted on waiting and getting my Sundae. Anyhow I did not make it a big deal as I let it go.
Today July 29 2019 @ around 4pm order number: 2500 was made through the mobile app. I arrive at 4:04pm and chose curbside pickup and after waiting until 4:19pm I go through the empty drive through as nobody showed up to deliver my order (1 Sml Ice Frappe, 1 Med Ice Coffee). I spot the same manager on duty from July 17th and bring up why has my mobile curb side order not brought out yet. She gives me a very rude answer and says "someone came out looking for you and you weren't there" I told here that was false as I waited the whole time and nobody showed up. However she kept on insisting that I wasn't there even though I was. So I ask for her name and she denied it when I said I want to bring this up with the head office as this is the second occurrence. She said " I don't have a name and closed the drive through window after handing my order there. I left and Called McDonald's Canada and explained the mishap.
I really hope the owners review the CCTV footage for this day to find why did the manager lie to a customer and instead of offering an apology she played the blame game.
I really hope they investigate this incident and catch the lies.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and let's hope nobody else should experience a...
