My companions and I had visited Milestones with high expectations and a $100 gift card, only to be informed that it could not be accepted.
Upon arrival, we were excited to indulge in the culinary experience that Milestones is known for. We had received the gift card as a thoughtful present, and we were looking forward to treating ourselves to a memorable dining experience. However, to our dismay, when we presented the gift card to the server, we were informed that it could not be honored due to certain limitations or restrictions.
This news came as a shock to us, as there was no indication on the gift card or during the purchase that it would be invalid or restricted in any way. We were unaware of any terms and conditions that would prevent us from using the gift card as intended. This unexpected turn of events left us feeling disappointed and frustrated, as our plans for an enjoyable evening were abruptly disrupted.
While we understand that businesses may have policies in place, we believe it is essential for clear communication to be established with customers regarding any limitations or restrictions associated with gift cards. This will help manage expectations and prevent any unfortunate surprises that can result in a negative customer experience.
We kindly request that you review your gift card policies and procedures to ensure that they are transparent and clearly communicated to customers. It is crucial that the terms and conditions of gift cards are prominently displayed and easily accessible for all to see, both at the time of purchase and on the gift cards themselves.

Read moreToday I went to Milestone to order lunch, and I made several requests. I confirmed several times with the receptionist who took my order to make sure he recorded everything correctly. I even asked him to repeat the order back to me because I’ve had multiple issues with mistakes at this restaurant ( only in this branch) . He assured me that I would receive my order in 20 minutes without any errors. I returned after 30 minutes only to find that two items from my order were missing. They weren’t in the bag. I told the girl who handed me the order that two items were missing, and she went to the kitchen to get them.
At this point, I became frustrated because this had happened multiple times before. I asked who the manager was, and an employee pointed to a young man sitting and drinking beer, and the girl who had gone to the kitchen to retrieve the missing items. When I looked at the young man, I recognized him because the same mistake had happened previously, and he had apologized at the time, promising me it wouldn't happen again. Strangely enough, today he could hear me complaining about the negligence but didn’t react.
I paid the bill and left. When I got home, I found another item missing from the order, so I returned with the food and told them there was a third item missing. They checked and said it wasn’t included in the order. I told them, while the receptionist who took my order was listening, that I had requested it multiple times from him. They responded that he was new. I told them this was his mistake, not mine. Either way, I wanted to return the entire order. The manager, the same young man I mentioned earlier, was there and refused to accept the return, speaking to me in an inappropriate manner for dealing with customers. He told me to call the management if I wanted a refund. I told him it was 4:30 PM, and I had placed my order at 3:30 PM. My son had just come back from school and was hungry, so I didn’t want the order anymore, especially since this same mistake had happened with him before. I repeated that his attitude toward me was rude, and he even told me not to come back to the restaurant again.
I asked him if the owner of the restaurant would accept this behavior, and he told me, 'I am the owner.!!!!!!!?????but finally the lady there refunded back the money to me.I just wanted to share what happened with me today and leave the decision to the its administration and opinion to people that...
Read moreThis evening around 4:30 pm, I went to Milestones with my sister-in-law, her husband, her son and my daughter. The restaurant was basically empty at this time so we thought we would receive stellar food and service. Boy were we wrong, first of all the host/waiter decided that seating the family that came in after me was the polite thing to do. Ok no problem. Then once we are seated, he came back to the table and gave the distinct impression that he really did not have time to take our drink/appetizer orders and that we were a bother.
One Appetizer was missing but ok we said no problem. The appetizers were good and no complaints. Well, when my and my daughter’s portobello mushroom dishes were delivered, my first thought was is the chicken fully cooked? We immediately sliced into them, the chicken was cooked through but it was very pale no usual caramelization or whisper of grill marks- not very appetizing. It looked poached!!! We both received 2 slices of mushrooms usually there is a very neat pile atop the chicken. It was just thrown on the plate, the carrots were uncooked and inedible since I couldn’t slice through them with a knife. We both love this meal and were extremely disappointed.
The other meals veggie burger, Thai curry bowl were fine. The real travesty was my nephew’s so called steak sandwich. First of all, the steak came out rare when he ordered it well done- no buns available so the meat was just slapped on slices of sourdough bread that wasn’t even toasted or warmed. The waiter took it back to have it cooked properly. The manager came and spoke to my nephew and apologized and said it would be discounted on the bill. That sounded weird but we were thinking ok. The sandwich comes back the bread is now grilled but the sandwich only had the meat on it no onions, mushrooms or cilantro, nothing it looked pitiful but my nephew did not want to make a fuss and ate it anyway. He normally loves this sandwich . To our surprise the bill came and there was actually 20% discount taken off his sandwich. I couldn’t believe that the meal was not comped - I have never seen this in my life- not very inspiring when it comes to trying to maintain customer loyalty. We all said we wouldn’t be back to this location at Vega Blvd in Mississauga. No thank you Milestones - also noticed table beside us sent there portobello mushroom chicken...
