The food was ok, we had the hummus be lehem and the mashawi mix for 2...which came with batata hara, fatoush and rice... The hummus came with fresh bread and that was delightful... We got the fatoush and batata hara with the hummus which was alot sooner then the mashawi which for me I could have waited to have it all together
The chicken was meh, feel like the spices on it could be less intense with the cinnamon. Filet mignon was tender, flavour was so so and the kafta was ok, same thing flavour was so so. the rice that came with it still had whole all spice still in it and that shouldn't be whole like that imo because it really isn't edible like that. I was underwhelmed with the rice to say the least. The tahini that came with it didn't really pair well with the meats. The garlic was tasty tho but something was missing/off with all of it.
I was disappointed and discouraged when I had ordered a tea and asked for more hot water and they said there was a charge for hot water of $2. Oh and the fact that they won't give you a glass of water you have to buy a bottle of water. That's not sustainable to be doing that. If someone orders a hot water it shouldn't be charged for it. I don't drink pop and I enjoy my tea so to be asking someone who already is paying $4 for a bag of tea with hot water, to charge $2 is ridiculous! The waiter was arguing with me saying it said it says on the menu, but mine didn't show it. That was because he said it shows on the shisha menu 🙄. Like honestly, really?
Unfortunately I will not be recommending this place to anyone and will not be returning but I hope you guys change it up because as a Lebanese/Palestinian chef myself who has worked in the industry for quite sometime now, I really wanted to continue supporting and coming here and eating some traditional Palestinian food! But I wish you the best of luck 🙏🏼
I can't seem to respond to your response but in all honestly you can still be "classy" without charging a ridiculous amount just for water. "Classy" places still have water in a glass. Yes I wasn't charged as I said to forget it after your waiter argued with me about it and I just really think you need to change your way of doing things if you want to keep...
Read moreBait Sitty offers a truly enjoyable dining experience that blends comforting flavours with a welcoming atmosphere. I’ve dined here a couple of times now, and each visit has left a solid impression. This is one of those spots that clearly has heart behind it—from the presentation to the service, you can tell there’s passion driving the kitchen.
The food is undoubtedly the star of the show. The flavours are bold, authentic, and satisfying. The menu offers a great mix of familiar favourites and unique signature dishes that stand out. The spices are well-balanced, portions are generous, and everything is plated with care. The appetizers, in particular, are fantastic—vibrant, fresh, and full of character. The mains are hearty and filling, perfect for when you’re craving something rich and soulful.
That said, there’s room for refinement. While the ingredients and flavours are on point, a few of the dishes could benefit from a more elevated touch—whether it’s the way they’re plated or the consistency in seasoning. Nothing was ever bad—far from it—but you occasionally get the sense that the dish is almost there, just not quite as polished as it could be. With just a bit more finesse in execution, the kitchen could easily push this from “great” to “exceptional.”
Service-wise, it’s warm and attentive without being overbearing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they check in at the right moments. The space itself is also quite cozy—inviting without being too loud, making it perfect for a casual night out or even a low-key celebration.
Price-wise, it’s reasonable for the quality you get. You walk away feeling like you got your money’s worth, especially considering the portion sizes and the care put into each dish.
Overall, Bait Sitty is a strong contender in the local food scene—charming, delicious, and filled with potential. With just a few tweaks to bring some of the dishes to the next level, it could easily become a five-star favorite. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving a comforting, flavorful meal....
Read morefirst time here, let me first give dues or credit where it's due .. the food was good, not exceptional but also not horribly bad either.... but that's as far as it goes, because it's downhill from there.... we were two couples with two babies actually one baby is a newborn so doesn't even count, the place wasn't nearly crowded border line empty basically 2 other tables besides ours and some lounge patio outside again a few tables... just giving you context because we placed our order and the food showed up 1 hour and 12 minutes later .... during that horrendous wait time we had to repeatedly go up or call the server to ask about our order... all we got was a sorry it's gonna take time... they didn't even offer us any drinks not even water or any small appetizers as a goodwill gesture... then I got really frustrated because my 11 month baby was getting hangry... so i asked if they could just bring out anything just so i can feed me baby.... eventually my wife fed my baby a pouch glad we came prepared because there is absolutely no tolerance for not feeding a hungry baby adults can put up with this but not kids.... the floor manager was there and never apologized didn't offer to cover any portion of the bill didn't even acknowledge that we had a kid who was hungry.... had a similar experience at a North American chain and the manager came out and apologized and offered us free apps and dessert... this was absolutely unacceptable and a very bad experience and i don't think i will go to a place where they don't respect guests and i am not even talking about hospitality here or staffing and managing your own business properly.... for me it was ghetto and trashy is how i felt as a guest there and we collectively spent about 160 dollars for two couples and a...
