I have never been so uncomfortable at a Chipotle in my life. Chipotle reputably is higher cost than most fast food places, and these high prices are justified by their food quality, friendly and efficient staff, and overall cleanliness. Recently, the Winston Park Drive Chipotle was none of these things.
Walking into the restaurant I was immediately disgusted. It looked like there was an indoor hurricane. Garbage was strewn across the floor and tables and there was not a single clean surface in sight. Every table was beyond disgusting: sticky, crusty, and littered with bits of food. Upon getting to the counter the staff were curt, sloppy, and frankly absurd. For example, I said I did not want cheese and for some reason the gentleman helping me assumed I was finished putting toppings on my salad and closed my burrito. My friend ordered two tacos and when she opened the foil the toppings were EVERYWHERE. Both inside and outside of the shell. It looked like someone threw up. I don’t even know how that happened considered the walk from the cash register to our table was about 30 seconds long.
We opted to sit outside because the inside was so filthy-our mistake! The patio tables were no better and we conceded to using Lysol wipes to clean the tables ourselves. It wasn’t simply messy, the tables were unhygienic. Although this location had around 8 people on staff at this time and literally 0 people in line, there was nobody even attempting to clean. An employee, who I assume and hope was on a break was walking around the restaurant and patio loudly having a conversation on her phone. Obviously everyone should be entitled to their breaks, but this was very strange optically. She also kept literally running into my friends chair.
The food tasted okay. My friend and I both felt kind of weird eating it because the tables, i.e., the areas customers can easily see were filthy. It begged the question: what the heck were the conditions that this food was cooked and stored in?
Overall, it was an unprecedentedly disgusting experience. We are both soured from visiting chipotle in the near future, or...
Read moreWarning!! so many other great burrito places. I’m really upset that I hung around. This place needs to have a territory manager review their customer service and preparation of peoples orders. I entered this facility twice earlier in the week and had to turn around and leave because the lineups were so long. I decided to stick it out this evening, even though the lineup was out the door (again) and my order was extremely unsatisfactory. My order was over $65 for the three burritos, salad bowl and chips with queso. Because they were so busy they ran out of white rice and therefore instead of getting fresh rice and properly making/preparing food as per the franchise would prepare the employee gave each burrito a half portion of white rice because they wanted to stretch out the rice as long as they could while they waited for new rice to be dumped. One burrito only needed one other item and therefore it looked smaller than a baseball. See photos… you all seen an Apple TV controller “tiny right”. Ya…!! You be the judge. This is “NOT” about the whole craze about them giving small portions. This was about not providing consistency, customer service, following guidelines. As I continue down the line, they simply wanted to move people through and slapped the ingredients together all along, missing my salad bowl, which got pushed down the line only to have me waiting at the cash without my salad because they were trying to push everyone through so quickly and not really pay attention to what they were preparing. I am sure they are pulling great numbers. Good for chipotle and head office but an absolute embarrassment on the franchise especially the way this location is being run. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have further issues in behind-the-scenes which is scary when you consider the food that they are dealing with and handling. Chipotle, take notice get in and see this facility and sort them out because this is an absolute embarrassment on your brand. So many people...
Read moreWorst experience ever at a Chipotle, been going to Chipotle for years now I would never ever go back to this one . Me and my brother get there , we are already waiting 15 minutes in line to order. We finally order our food. Our food is made sitting there, along with 1 women in front of us and 2 people behind us whose food has already been made. We are standing there for 10 minutes wondering why the lady in front of us is taking so long at the cashier then the employees say their credit debit machine is not working and to take a seat until they figure it out at this point our food is already made and still waiting there. It is 20 minutes before they come to us and say they can't get the credit machine up. 5 minutes later they come back and say we can take our food if we can pay cash. We don't have cash on us and only have our debit and credit cards. So the lady says let me talk to my manager. The manager comes up and says we can't take our food without paying cash we say we can't we don't have cash and we have already been here for 50 minutes and our food has been getting cold and gross for 35 minutes. She comes back 2 minutes later and says you could try downloading the app and reordering the food and then you can take your food which has now been sitting there for over 30 minutes . I was honestly disgusted with the way they handled it I've been to Starbucks and other food establishments where this has happened and if they have already made your order and it is sitting for that long they would just give it to you if before you made the order the system was working and they did not indicate they could only take cash . Horrendous service, they didn't even give us our food in the end. An hour wasted and no food and to no fault of our own after being so...
