Nova Pastry & Bakery — Restaurant in Mississauga

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Nova Pastry and Bakery in Mississauga, and I was truly impressed with the quality of the products and the friendly service.

Upon entering the bakery, I was immediately struck by the mouthwatering aroma of freshly baked goods. The display cases were filled with an array of beautiful pastries and baked goods, including croissants, breads, cookies, and cakes. I couldn't resist trying one of their famous chocolate croissants, and I was not disappointed. The flaky, buttery layers of pastry were perfectly balanced with the rich, chocolate filling, and the whole thing was drizzled with a light dusting of powdered sugar. It was absolutely delicious.

In addition to the pastries, Nova also offers a selection of sandwiches, soups, and salads for lunch. I opted for a turkey and avocado sandwich on artisan bread, which was served with a side of potato chips and a pickle. The bread was soft and flavorful, and the sandwich was loaded with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they even offered to make the sandwich to my specifications, which was a nice touch.

One of the things that sets Nova apart from other bakeries is their commitment to using only the highest quality ingredients. They use unbleached, unbromated flour in all of their baked goods, and they source their ingredients from local farms whenever possible. This really comes through in the taste and texture of their products, which are always fresh and flavorful.

In addition to the savory items, Nova also has a wide selection of sweet treats to choose from. Their cakes and cookies are especially noteworthy, with a variety of flavors and fillings to suit any taste. I tried a slice of their chocolate layer cake, which was rich and moist, with a creamy chocolate frosting. It was the perfect indulgence.

All in all, I had a fantastic experience at Nova Pastry and Bakery. The food was top-notch, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. They have great pastries call my very friendly staff great help if you need it. A great selection of cakes and pastries and sandwiches. And they're very quick to help you there's no line up to get inside there's handicap parking in handicap entrance actually not an entrance but somebody will help enter you into the store if you need to be helped and there is wheelchair handicap parking other than that there's everything you can think of it's very very fresh like the freshest breads the freshest desserts I love this place it's the best I go there almost every day and their custard tarts are amazing you got to try them I go there just for those sometimes oh my gosh they are amazing I highly recommend going to try those and their cheesecakes and their cakes but they're those custard tarts are amazing and then they have ones with Nutella on them they cost a little bit extra but they're not that expensive like a dollar or something for the regular custard tarts and maybe like $2 for the ones with nutella. And they're very friendly staff and they're very quick to help you and there's no way ever so it's very fast and you can get cakes or order cakes for birthdays or weddings or whatever. And the very moist and fresh everything in there is moist and fresh and soft and so delicious everything is very fresh made daily and, the strawberry shortcake cake with white chocolate on the shavings on the outside oh my gosh you have to try that it's amazing I get that for my mom's birthday a lot cuz she likes really likes that one like she always asks me to get that one and my sister is getting sick of it so many times but I love it, it's so good it's amazing I love it too the white chocolate on a cake with strawberries and very moist filling and white cake in the middle with white shavings of chocolate on the outside with strawberries on the top oh my gosh it's to die for. I highly recommend this place to everybody to try!...

I had a very disappointing experience ordering a birthday cake from this bakery through Uber Eats. I placed my order a day in advance for a scheduled delivery, ensuring they had enough time to prepare the cake. However, just before delivery, I received a notification stating that the cake size had been changed, and I was charged an additional $12—without my consent.

I immediately contacted Nova and spoke with two different employees. The first one claimed they didn’t have the size I originally ordered, which was frustrating since I had preordered specifically to avoid such issues. Then, she passed the phone to another employee, who gave me a completely different story—saying the cake had been dropped and damaged, which is why they sent me a different one.

At no point did they contact me to discuss a solution. Instead, they simply changed my order and charged me extra, which is completely unacceptable. When I pointed this out, I was met with indifference. A responsible business would have informed me of the situation and either offered a replacement or a discount—not charged me more due to their own mistake.

To make matters worse, when the cake finally arrived, it was actually the correct size (7 inches) but was damaged! This entire experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend ordering from this bakery, as their lack of communication and poor customer service made what should have been a simple birthday cake order...
