Pita Lite Shawarma — Restaurant in Mississauga

went there today for a soup. nobody greeted me while I was standing at the cash register. I had to interrupt the woman who was cleaning to ask if they had soup. she tells me to ask the person at the make table. I ask her and she then looks back at the woman who's cleaning without even acknowledging me. She then goes to the back in the kitchen to check. She yells at me from inside the kitchen and goes 'is a medium okay?' I nodded my head in compliance. They never told me how long it would take so after a few minutes, I sat down. 5 minutes later she comes out with the soup and puts in on the counter. People beware. I had horrible experience. In the middle of eating their chicken shawarma salad i had discovered a huge bug in my salad (picture attached). I had contacted the manager at the restaurant and she attacked me by saying that why am i complaining and that it is ok things happen. No one had appologized. but expressed their anger toward me that i complained. I have returned their salad back with the bug in it. They checked for the bug and again without saying anything and not appologizing just gave me money back. Local gem! I used to come here weekly pre-COVID, just visited again after years of working from home and I’m so glad they’re back! I was immediately impressed by the bright, clean renovation, and how patient and helpful the staff were in serving the customers ahead of me. The veggies were so fresh, and the food was even better than I remember. The family running it is extremely kind and I felt like I was being treated to a meal in their home.
