CUSTOMER SERVICE: It's unfortunate that yet again another Jamaican resturant lacks genuine customer service and a welcoming positive energy. The women at the front showed no intrest in actually being there ( their lack of facial expression and nonchalant body language) I didnt see one smile, smirk or even an eye roll-Just lifeless and unintersted. When Speaking with or to them they never opened their mouth to respond just a stare, a head nod, or question to one another.
FOOD: I was hoping that they would have 5 star quailty food to make up for the lack of energy and customer service but boy was I wrong. I ordered a boneless chicken roti and it was THE WORST ROTI I have ever eaten in fact it was THE WORST carribean meal I have ever eaten. It had 0 flavour, the curry did not taste like the authentic curry I know as a Jamaican. Furthermore the sauce seemed to be thickened using cornstarch or flour-YUCKY.
My partner had a jerk wrap which he made some subs- it was eatable but no comparsion to my Jerk wrap.Give it 3 stars.
Overall the food is terrible and lacks love like the previous comment menioned and the customer service is better at MacDonalds- like the Young lady said your better to just get burger king.
For the record I went to the...
Read moreWell lets begin by saying I am very disappointed, I ordered the oxtail w rice&peas extra oxtail gravy on the rice of course. Oxtail portion is small for 16$ that I paid for the large (large means more rice not meat). both the rice and Oxtail lacks flavor/taste, the seasoning is very minimal which suck. I'm also used to having oxtail w the nice thick gravy fall off the bone meat where you'll see little chunks in your rice. no, not here the gravy is quite watery and bland so adds absolutely nothing to your rice/peas. I don't know how hes gotten any good reviews, but then again I'm used to eating Caribbean food so maybe that has a role in my taste buds. Or maybe his other food is much better, which I do plan on trying this week sometime, but as for the oxtail ...issa no for me dawg Randy Jackson voice
On that other hand customer service was great. I called ahead to order he was very pleasant and even asked what time I would be coming by for pick up. When I got there I received the same great customer service he was nice asked about side, you can choose coleslaw or roasted veggies.
Meh 2.5/5 will update after...
Read moreI went there planning on getting the boneless curry roti, it's says it's $7.25 on the menu online. When I went there the menu says $9.25. So I seen the sign out front saying "Reggae Wrap" $4.99. I asked the girl behind the counter what was in the Reggae Wrap, she completely ignored me and proceeded to help someone else. When she finally came back to me, I had to ask her again, she sighed and said "chicken and veggies". I said ok I'll try it, so once again she sighed and turned around and went to the kitchen and asked for a reggae wrap, then turned around and said "15 mins". I told her no way and left. How does it take 15 minutes to make a wrap?? Especially when it's your special of the day. I have never dealt with such a lazy, uninterested server in my life. It was like I was bothering her by coming in. Well she will never have to worry about me going there, or anyone I know as I will let them all know to stay far away from that place. Such a disappointment, I can't comment on how the food was, but it can't be worth dealing with that...
