I used to go to another Quesada (long ago). I decided to try this one out. It was Ok, but nothing special. Maybe it was my choice of food. I ordered the small Veggie Burrito. I believe it was suppose to be Roasted Veggie. She hardly put any Pinto Beans, but she did put Black Bean. I probably should have asked her to put more Pinto ( Bean). The other Quesada I used to go to used to put more Pinto ( Bean)...they put both Pinto and Black bean. Anyhow, it just seem like the Bean amount was pretty small. I probably should have ordered the Bean burrito ( instead of Veggie). When it came time to put the Roasted Veggie, it was mainly Green Bell Pepper but it did not look Roasted ( it look more like it was steamed). She put alot of it on my Burrito. The reason I am saying anything is if I knew the Roasted Veggies were not Roasted but just steamed, i would have ask her not to put so much and just put more PInto bean. I guess I should have tried Spicy Chicken. I just wanted to pay 9.69 or 10.29 or something with tax. Anyhow, maybe she did not thing about it. How the Veggies did not have very much flavour. I mean everything was fresh, just not very much taste. This place has potential but I just did not want to pay over 11 dollars for a burrito. I think the ones with meat cost about 12 dollars ( for small i think). I sometimes dont eat too much meat. I used to go to another burrito place (Bar) but I stop going to Bar because once i ordered Chicken and it was super dry and the girl put way too much. They usually portion...and dont give very much meat so I was expecting more beans, but that time at Bar the girl decided to give too much chicken and the chicken was super dry. That is why I stop eating at Bar. The chicken can be good but most of time its dry. That is why i rather get more beans. Anyhow, its Canada and not easy finding great Mexican. Im from westcoast which definitely has mexican stuff. So if you decide to get Veggie, maybe ask for more Bean unless the Veggie looks Roasted. The burrito sauce was Ok. i probably should have asked her for one more sauce ( do they allow more than 2 sauces?) Might have made everything taste a little better instead of bland. The other Quesada I used to go to was very good but I stop going to the other one because the food started to...
Read moreUpdate: We wrote to and received a prompt and kind reply from the owner. We would like to acknowledge that, although we had a negative experience at this Quesada location, there was also a good will response from the owner to make things right, and in the end, that is what matters when it comes to customer service. We are therefore updating our rating accordingly. ———————————————————— We had a very poor experience in our last visit to this Quesada location, that it will be, literally, our last visit. We ordered a kid’s combo, listed as a $6.99 and were told that we would be charged $10 instead because they were replacing the small juice with a regular bottled drink. The menu board displayed a “new $3 taco” with options of beef or veggies, so instead of the upcharged $10 kid’s meal we asked for two $3 beef tacos. The server said that the beef is too spicy for a child so she offered chicken instead, and we gladly accepted. I ordered 4 more of the $3 tacos and asked for the beef option. The server asked if I wanted ground beef or beef barbacoa, so I chose the beef barbacoa. When paying for the food I noticed that the 6 tacos were charged at $31.60 after taxes, so I reminded the employee that we had ordered the $3 tacos and our total for the 6 ordered should be around $20 after tax, and she responded that the $3 tacos are regular beef, not barbacoa nor chicken. We protested that she had offered the meat options when we specifically ordered the $3 tacos and she never mentioned that accepting her suggestions meant we were no longer ordering the “new $3 taco”, and then she came up with the extra lame argument that one can only buy ONE $3 taco, not the 6 that we ordered, because the board states “taco” and not “tacos”. She then insisted that she had done nothing wrong. We cannot know if employees at this location are instructed to mislead clients in order to upsell, or if this employee lacks customer service skills, but either way we never return to businesses where we have been scammed. To the location manager: if it is of any interest to improve customer experience at this location, you may want to re-train your...
Read moreWas hoping to find a better change from our favourite Burrito place nearby. Ordered a Quesadilla, a three Taco, a large burrito and a Burrito Bowl all with Beyond Meat all of them vegan except for the quesadilla which cheese for the kids.
The biggest downfall is Beyond Meat ground. The ground are in pieces that are big when compared to ground meat and when you eat the BB there is crunch and the inside completely lacks flavour and the texture seems to artificial. We had three types of hot sauces on the side, the vegan mayo, hot sauce and an extreme hot sauce. Not matter what sauce we topped with, the flavour isn’t just there.
The tacos and bowl either had a mixture of salad leaves and cabbage or just cabbage. But to eat a lot of raw cabbage wasn’t a good experience. The rice and beans in the burrito and bowl too under seasoned for our taste. Even with salsa and rest of the fillings, the burrito wasn’t satisfying.
We shared everything and the kids liked the quesadilla a bit better than the rest. The burrito bowl comes with a side order of chips, which to me were the best of all.
Disappointing that even if you don’t add any cheese and sour cream to the items we purchased, the guacamole is not provided in place of the dairy...
