Decided to try this place out so we ordered a basic breakfast and a corned beef eggs benedict. On a weekend this place should've been packed but thankfully it wasn't so wait staff quickly took our order. Off to a good start HOWEVER when we looked at our food the eggs on the basic breakfast was runny which is not a good sign if you're concerned about salmonella :( The eggs benedict at was the total opposite - hard boiled eggs. The kitchen staff might have hit the snooze button too many times because cooking eggs should be a cake walk for any competent kitchen. I almost forgot the stray hair in the eggs bene but at least I took a snap shot before they replaced my eggs bene with a pair of runny eggs and boat load of hollandaise for an apology as the couple sitting next to us began to inspect their order shortly after. I paid for the basic breakfast and went to Loblaws with the money saved to grab 18 eggs at $2.97 and a bag of potatoes to get over that blunder. Sunbeam more like Sunbarf.

Nice place to stop for breakfast. Don't get this place mixed up with Sunset Grill. They are very fast... if you in a hurry, you can be in and out in 15 - 20 min, depending on you order. Great staff, prompt service. Big breakfast menu, lots to choose from and they have gluten free options however, one may wanna double check for cross contamination. Portion was generous - for a breakfast anyway - bread was nicely toasted, coffee was good with free refills. They open earlier than any other place in that area (6:30AM). Around 9AM is their peak time but there were plenty tables available. As a first impression, I'll stop by when in the area. I would say it's better than the Symposium Cafe across the road - not as fancy, but food is better.

Ordered eggs Benedict with tomato and spinach and a avocado toast. The eggs were good I wish I could say the same for the toast. I took a picture so you can see the sad affair my toast was brought in. I can make a better toast at home than this and it won’t cost me $12 😔 The staff was nice and friendly. Cosy nice place for a quick breakfast but then we did go on a weekday so it was pretty empty. Order came out in less than 10 minutes. Not taking off their points because I hope to come back again and try something different and hopefully this sad visit will be forgotten.

Went by today for breakfast due to its high review rating, Eggs/Hashbrowns/French Toast were good, Didn't appreciate the fact of how quickly my waitress wanted to rush me to order, pay, and quickly leave only being there for approximately 25 minutes, I get it that you are a business and you can only have 10 customers in your restaurant at a time due to Covid Protocols and that you are trying to keep your head above water financially but it's pretty ridiculous to rush me out considering practically all the other customers who were seated before I came were still enjoying their coffees/atmosphere, Regardless of me eating by myself, I got treated as if I barely ordered any food, and drank coffee and did some writing for over 45 minutes + while hungry people are waiting for a table, Which wasn't the case. I would have rather you tell me that you only serve 2 or more parties...

Had the 2 pancakes with eggs and home fries. Made sure to ask for the home fries to be crispy - for some reason the server had to ask us 3 times to be sure we wanted it "deep fried" and was pushing us to have it grilled instead "because it tastes better". Just give us what we ask for, please.

The service was friendly although slow - I asked to place our order and upon saying "sure" the server proceeded to leave and do a few other things (bring drinks to another table, bring the bill to another table, take an order for a different table, bring the card machine to the table she gave the bill to) before finally taking our order.

The eggs tasted fresh and were quite tasty but the pancakes were chewy as if reheated rather than made fresh to order. The home fries were good (crispy like we wanted).

An OK breakfast...
