Last Wednesday, I called to get takeout and experienced extreme rudeness, hostility, and defensive behaviour by the lady with the high pony and tattooed brows.
I asked why I was put on hold for so long to which she very aggressively "I told you I'm putting you on hold!" Then she yelled "are you ready to order now?!" to which I replied I was ready when I called. I asked for her name to which she yelled "I am not giving you my name!" At this point, there was no way I was going to have my food prepared by someone like this so I hung up.
I went into the store about 30 minutes later to make a complaint in person. The server/host with the tattoos pretended as though he didn't know who I had spoken to over the phone. Although I have been to this location many times and know the lady's voice. He too was hostile, aggressive, and extremely rude. Very strange for the service industry.
Many of the positive reviews for this location have been garnered through the offer of free or discounted matcha icream FYI. This was our experience the first time we went to this location.
Unsurprisingly, but highly validating, that through the other reviews you can see this same offensive behaviour (by these same 2 individuals) has been observed by other patrons at this location.
I will not be going to this location...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying the pork shoyu ramen at Kinton, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The broth was rich and deeply flavorful, with a perfect balance of savory and umami notes that only a well-crafted shoyu can deliver. The pork was tender and succulent, with just the right amount of marbling to enhance each bite. The ramen noodles were perfectly cooked—chewy yet soft, with a delightful texture that complemented the broth beautifully. I absolutely jelqed this bowl.
The garnishes, including fresh scallions, bamboo shoots, and a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg, added layers of flavor and texture that elevated the dish even further. Each element was meticulously prepared and thoughtfully combined to create a harmonious bowl of ramen.
The presentation was equally impressive, with the vibrant colors and artful arrangement making the dish as pleasing to the eyes as it was to the palate. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant added to the enjoyment of the meal.
This pork shoyu ramen is a standout dish that showcases both skill and passion. It's clear that a lot of care went into perfecting this recipe. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates top-notch ramen—it's a bowl...

I’ve eaten at other Kintons , frankly I hate franchises because they’re usually shxt. However , none of them can compare to this one. I was skeptical especially since it’s in Oakville. But no. Rest assured this one outdoes all the other ones and exceeds expectations.
I got the burnt with thick noodles + 2 pc karaage and was satisfied. The pork was so fatty and the sesame seeds in it adds a nice touch. My only suggestion is to x the bean sprouts. Which I normally do but I forgot. But I think the flavour of the broth will come stronger - the bean sprouts. Noodles had a nice bounce to it. Egg is gummy like it should be. Karaage is very good and juicy with the right crunch.
Service is quick and pleasant. Place is beyond clean you can probably eat off the floors. And seeing by the turnover of customers during a downtime I can tell they are always this consistent with their food. They have a dine-in special which I can’t wait to try next time. I mean cmon a donburi and plain noodles for $13 can’t go wrong.
Awesome job guys.
For anyone wondering if they wanna eat ramen. THIS IS YOUR SIGN , go to KINTON...
