ROTTEN FOOD AND WITHOUT MEAT. BUYERS BE AWARE

I have been their loyal customer for over 15 years along with my siblings. But last two catering order has changed my mind. First order was placed in Augusta and the very next day ithe food went rotten. I called to complaint and Hassan said that they freeze the food, perhaps that’s why it went bad and blame to weather too. August was a mild month.

Again, fool of me, I ordered last weekend and paid $2/head extra as my order was less than for 30 people. Nihari was made out of bones only, no meat, even though I mentioned that I have kids too. Nihari does t taste like nihari as well, on top of it they did t give ginger and lemon, even though they said they would. Second, biryani had no meat at all, only rice. Taste was also so very bad, seekh kabob were so cold as well. When I called to complaint Hasan said that they do not give ginger and lemon with nihari and the girl at the counter made a mistake by saying that they do. Secondly, he said he is going to give me $30 credit towards my next catering order. Hahaha, would I order it again???? Seriously!!!! I was so embarrassed in front of my guests who visited me vary first time.

Check your food before you pick up and pay. NOT GOING TO ORDER THEM...

I had a potluck with some friends on the weekend. I like to take different culture food to these event when we have them. I decided it would be east Indian cuisine this time. Having already enjoyed Shaheen Food Centre dishes I requested their butter chicken and two vegan dishes for my friends who didn't eat meat and a couple Naan. Well Shaheen did not disappoint! Portions were just enough for 5 people of which 2 were vegan. I served basmati rice for those who wanted. The butter chicken was flavourful as usual with good size pieces of chicken and enough spice to leave you wanting more. This is my favourite dish! Never disappoints! The two vegan dishes were Channa Marsala and Dal ....delectable! My vegan friend enjoyed so much she took the left overs home to have the next day! I was happy that she enjoyed it because it was also gluten free allowing her to partake in our potluck. The naan was well portioned and enough. I hate it with the butter chicken! PERFECTION! Lunch was success! Thank you Shaheen Food Centre! I'll be back for more! We ate the food so fast I forgot to take...

I travelled different places and tried different styles of Biriyani in India and Pakistan and I know each Biriyani has its unique flavour and taste. The veal Biriyani in Shaheen Foods is one of The Best Biriyani in my list. I enjoy the favor and taste of the rice and meat in every bite of my mouth and it’s so tempting to eat again and again. I tried chicken and goat Biriyani at Shaheen’s but Veal Biriyani is outstanding. The meat is marinated to perfection. I am a huge fan of Biriyani and I was hunting for the best Biriyani in and around GTA from Scarborough to Mississauga and read multiple reviews and drive to different restaurant to try the taste and Shaheen’s Veal Biriyani is still no1 in my list. I am sold to the person who prepares the Veal Biriyani at this place. Their Veal Biriyani is only available on Friday and it well be sold out by 1 pm.
