🇹🇷🇨🇦 An Authentic Turkish Culinary Experience Worth Celebrating

Turkish Flames is a true gem in Toronto. Every dish is prepared with remarkable care and attention to detail, you can taste it and see it. Just scroll through the pictures I posted, and if you enjoy them, feel free to like and comment!

⸻

Efficient Teamwork, Not Fast Food

This is a team that functions like clockwork. There’s a dedicated gentleman managing the front of house and a skilled kitchen team working in rhythm behind the scenes. Everything they serve reflects a commitment to quality and tradition, not speed. And that’s important to remember: authentic food takes time.

If you’re in a rush for fast food, this isn’t McDonald’s, nor should it be. This is a place to slow down and savor.

⸻

Versatility: Quick Bite or Full Experience

Turkish Flames offers versatility. Whether you’re grabbing a quick and affordable shawarma wrap or sitting down with friends, coworkers, or family for a full Turkish meal, you’ll be met with flavor, generosity, and authenticity.

From kebabs, shawarma, fresh bread, hummus, baba ghanoush, to Turkish desserts and coffee, the variety is outstanding and all made fresh.

⸻

Beautifully Decorated, Immersive Atmosphere

The décor is warm and inviting, clearly put together with thought and love. It’s not just a restaurant, it’s an immersive cultural experience. You feel welcomed into a story that’s bigger than just the food.

⸻

A Word to Fellow Diners: Respect the Craft

During my visit, I witnessed a father loudly pressuring the floor attendant in a way that felt entitled and disrespectful, both to the staff and other customers who were patiently waiting. All over a spoon. It was disheartening.

We need to support places like this, not just consume from them. Authentic dining is a chance to learn, to connect with another culture, to build appreciation and understanding. Bring your curiosity, not your impatience.

⸻

Cleanliness and Final Encouragement

The space is clean and well-kept. As a gentle encouragement: keep an eye on the little corners and hidden areas, those nooks and crannies matter. Excellence is built in the details, and I know this team is more than capable of meeting that standard.

⸻

Final Thoughts: Come for the Experience

Bring your family, bring your coworkers, bring friends, and come ready to experience Turkish culture through food. Maybe even research a little about Türkiye before you come. Ask questions. Start conversations. You’ll be amazed what happens at the dinner table.

To the Turkish Flames team: Delicious food. Beautiful ambiance. Friendly service. Thank you.

I visited this restaurant yesterday with my wife. I had a Groupon voucher for two persons. I reserved the place by calling three days ago and mentioned about the menu on the voucher which was BBQ items. When I reached there yesterday and showed the QR code they told me BBQ is not available today and advised me to select other items of the same value. We were really disappointed and annoyed. I asked the waitress KUBRA to talk to their manager about this situation. The waitress KUBRA was very helpful and after a discussion with her Manager she told me that BBQ can be provided to us within 25-50 minutes and during this period they provided us the appetizer like bread, three sauces and tea which was good to spend the wait time. Within 40 minutes they provided us the main dishes which were really delicious. Very large portion for two persons at very reasonable price. Special thanks to KUBRA who was very nice during the wait time and she served the food nicely. She was professional and provided great customer service. I am giving 5 stars only because of KUBRA as she tried her best to compensate for the initial bitter experience. The waitress NOOR was also good at customer service.Amazing quality of food, very reasonable prices made our experience pleasant. Great customer service provided by KUBRA will take us again to this restaurant. The interior set up of the restaurant was beautiful. Facility for prayers was added advantage. Love it. Getting such a delicious Halal BBQ at low prices is amazing. I recommend all my contacts to enjoy the food there. Keep up the good work KUBRA. You are an asset to this restaurant as you are creating repeat customers. Best...

New restaurant which I was excited to check out as I love Turkish cuisine.

I admit that the food was delicious, but that is until I found that the second dish I had ordered was not cooked. I'm talking raw chicken. That was a huge turning point for me and right away ruined the entire experience for me. Though it might have been an accident, it is extremely important to ensure meat (especially chicken) is well cooked before serving.

The appetizer I ordered also came at the same time of the food, which made no sense for me because the purpose of appetizers is to have something while you wait for your food. Not to mention that the sigara boregi had almost to no cheese inside and had some bits that were burned. It was a waste of money to order it.

The restaurant provided us with bread and hummus (complimentary) as well and I found the bread to be very soft and delicious. The chicken sauté dish was also very tasty and well cooked, though it had a lot of oil. The issue was the chicken steak which was raw and could have ended badly had I not noticed.

Additionally, I didn't like the customer service at the restaurant. For one, I felt pressured to order because when one of the waitresses came and asked if we are ready to place the order, we said no. Instead of giving us time and coming back afterwards, she stood by the table and waited there, making us feel pressured to order. This was an unpleasant experience as well.

No appetite after the incident and thus we did not try their tea nor their desserts.

Restaurant is nice inside, well lit with lots of touches of Turkey. Prices similar to other Turkish...
