Possibly the strangest dining experience I've ever had. Our waitress seemed to be slurring her words and it was unclear if she was under the influence of something or not. Then as I had finished giving my order, she coughs and spit hits my face. She walks out of the building and doesn't come back for about 3-5 minutes. I was genuinely worried where I was about to get another staff member to check on her. When she returns she explains she's not feeling well and she shouldn't have came in to work. She repeats back our orders incorrectly so we have to correct her and she writes down our full orders. She then comes back 2 more times to make sure of what we ordered. When our food comes out, parts of mine were missing and she fixed that pretty quickly. From all of our encounters with her, it started looking like she was either drunk or possibly high as she couldn't stand straight, her eyes kept rolling back in her head, her jaw kept pushing out and she was struggling to speak. When we finally got our bill, she brought us the wrong bill and argued it was ours even though it wasn't what we ordered. Again, that was quickly sorted but on her way back with the second bill, she stumbled and I asked if she was okay but she tried to pass it off like it didn't happen. She then told me she didn't have a cold, but that she ate a bad lobster the night before and that's why she wasn't well. She kept elaborating on the details of her sickness and it really wasn't what we wanted to hear at a restaurant.
I was so shocked to have that experience in a family restaurant and we definitely won't be back. I don't know what our waitress was dealing with, but I blame the manager for not realizing that she was not fit to work and not...
Read moreThe location was fairly busy - but normal for a Sunday brunch spot at 1030am. The experience was a little disappointing. Sat for a while with no server checking in. No check ins after food was delivered to see if everything arrived. It didnât. No syrup or butter for pancakes, toast didnât arrive until we were finished meal and we had to request it twice. One young girl basically told us they were busy and weâd get it at some point when we let her know 2/3 of us were finished our meals (without our toast) and 1 of us wanted to eat the toast with their meal so they hadnât started 15 mins in and needed it reheated. The young girl didnât offer to get our server. I had to go find our server to request the toast she didnât know we were missing. To top it all off - the server at the table behind us was overhead telling the table that if people complain and donât like the service they can⌠(hand gestures they could get out). It was really disappointing overall. Our server came and offered a genuine apology for our experience which we really appreciated. We understand it was busy - but it isnât what weâve come to expect from a Coraâs chain. I think better communication would be the learning here. All that said - the food was AMAZING. I canât fault...
Read moreIf you have a dairy allergy or intolerance, donât bother with Coraâs. The waitress became visibly frustrated with me when I asked if the Cora's special could be made dairy free⌠She told me that the eggs are only cooked in butter; at this point I didnât argue with her and asked for the club sandwich without cheese. She was aggravated but said yes⌠When she gave me a glass of water later, she said âhereâs your dairy free waterâ with a smirk. She brought a club sandwich WITH cheese⌠I thought, ok, just a mistake not a big deal. I told her about it and she said in an irritated tone âwell the cook is just going to take it offâ. The cheese had melted and the oils of the cheese were already all over the sandwich so I had to tell her it would make me sick. Frustrated, she took it back. 15 mins later I assume they made another one, so I started eating it. A few bites into it, I noticed I was eating cheese. I told her there was cheese in the sandwich again and that it would make me sick ; she told me I shouldâve brought an EpiPen... they made me a third sandwich and made me...
