The Furnace Room — Restaurant in Moncton

Harassed by a controlling power tripping waitress for no reason. We were yelled at because one of their drunken regulars wouldn’t leave the bar and was accosting us. Go here if you want to be treated like a lower class citizen. On the bright side the other bartender was so apologetic for the actions on the other waitress. That was nice but after spending hard earned money on drinks only to be yelled at because they can’t control the drunks in there left me feeling disgusted to have even gone to this bar. After seeing so many good reviews I’m not sure who this lunatic was behind the bar who thought it was ok to bark orders at patrons who were just minding their own business but the whole event was truly disappointing....

The staff apparently forgot to put down reservation markers on one of three tables for a group next to us, we get there early after a show, they waited until a packed bar at midnight to tell us that we needed to immediately get up to finish our beers. As an occasional bouncer who doesnt like to cause any problems it was mildly insulting to have two bouncers walk up to me and tell me to move. As a beer fan I was also disappointed to see half a glass of head served to me in a Coors light mug, which the "house beer" may as well have been a watered...

Last night was my sisters birthday outing and after an initial dead experience next door, we decided to wait in the growing line in the building across the street and I’m SO glad we did.

The Furnace room provided everything and more. Bear, the manager/bouncer this night stood in the cold like a champ and was extremely warm, hilarious and welcoming.

This place has amazing live music, an alluring atmosphere and despite it being super busy the bartenders were very bubbly, professional and efficient.
