We've now been to Abu El Zolof twice, and both times were a blast — but this past weekend was extra special as we chose to celebrate our friend's birthday there, and it was the perfect choice.
The place is spacious, clean, and beautifully set up for a lively night out. Right from the moment we walked in, the energy was great — you could feel that everyone was there to have a good time. The staff was welcoming, professional, and the service overall was smooth and attentive throughout the night.
They recently made a few changes to their set menu. Now it's $75 per person, and for that, you get a full mezza spread followed by BBQ kebab platters. Let me just say — the food was delicious. Every bite brought back familiar Lebanese flavors that felt both authentic and fresh.
We enjoyed everything from the fattoush, tabouli, hummus, baba ghanouj, and mhamara to the perfectly made kibbeh and wara2 3inab (stuffed grape leaves). These two classics were especially tasty — the kibbeh had that perfect crunch on the outside and was juicy inside, and the grape leaves were soft, tangy, and flavorful.
The grilled meats were also a hit — tender, juicy, and well-seasoned.
If I had to suggest anything, it would be to add a couple of hot mezza dishes (like soujouk, makanek, or rakakat) to make the menu feel even more complete and rich — especially for the price point. But that’s just a suggestion; the overall quality of the food was excellent.
This is where Abu El Zolof really shines. The singer was absolutely amazing — great voice, engaging, and knew exactly how to get the crowd going. The atmosphere turned into a full-on celebration with everyone clapping, dancing, and singing along.
To top it off, they had a belly dancer, and she was incredible — full of energy and talent, really elevating the whole experience. It’s clear that they put a lot of thought into the entertainment, and it makes all the difference.
Whether you’re looking for a spot to celebrate something special or just want a night of good food, music, and dancing, Abu El Zolof delivers. We had such a great time that we’re already thinking about going back again.
Highly recommend this place for a fun night out —...
Read moreBefore coming here I walked in to make a reservation as I didn't know how busy this place could get but from the awesome reviews it had I needed to try this place out.
The décor is very nice and unique. the dishes the food is served in is also unique and very cool aswell as they usually come in battered copper type mugs, chalices and pots. It was pretty quiet when we arrived however it was rather early being 7pm on a Sunday. we were greeted promptly and seated. the TVs glare was a bit bright for my mom so we asked to move tables which they had no problems with.
We asked for a recommendation for popular items on the menu and were asked about allergies/food preferences which none of us had any but was nice to be asked incase one of my party were allergic or had dietary restrictions. We were recommended the Tabbouleh salad to start which was a huge portion and enough to feed 3 people and had a ton to take back to the hotel. After that we got the Hummus Labneh which was AMAZING. The flavor of the bits of pomegranate really comes out!! As for the main dish we ordered the Kebab Zulof which was a STELLAR recommendation. The hidden meat balls inside the sauce mixed with the crunch of the half cut nuts really give an interesting contrast of textures with every bite! Hands down the best Mediterranean food ive had in my life.
The portions were BIG, the food was FRESH and almost forgot to mention the LIVE music that was wonderful. For some reason Google wont let me upload the video but the gentleman playing the guitar that night was very talented and played some classics like Fur Elise and The Godfather theme along with some others. The whole experience was definitely memorable and everyone in the establishment were top notch.
If youre nearby you NEED to stop in for some QUALITY dishes!! Next time im in Montreal im...
Read moreVisiting from NYC we’re always up for trying different cultures food and cuisine. This was definitely atop the list, being from NY I’ve basically seen and had it all but this was a really enjoyable first authentic Middle Easter experience. The atmosphere and ambiance and decor was nothing that we’ve experienced before and was very impressed. As a musician myself, I was also really drawn to the singing, the playing and the DJ. The live Lebanese music and entertaining belly dance that we were able to take part in was really fun. The foods were big in portions, delicious, rich in flavor and had no complaints whatsoever. Our taste buds and stomach were very satisfied. Friendly attentive staff. We were seated right away didn’t feel rushed. I like when we’re finished eating that we can just enjoy a conversation without the check being placed in front of us. Shout out to the cooks in the back as well, they definitely don’t get as much credit as deserved. You may either want to walk or take a taxi, parking can be difficult to come by. May be a bit on the pricier side for some but it’s well worth it. The entire decor was authentic from the moment you walk in from the stairway, the walls were interesting, the chairs, the floor were were catching and even the table cloths, felt like I was eating on Aladdin’s magical rug, in a good way. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for...
