The ambience was lovely. Such a loud and busy street but the double doored entry to this restaurant almost completely blocks out the outside noise. Our waiter spoke ridiculously fast, half the time I was just left nodding my head and asking him to make the decisions. But I don't blame him, we were the last diners of the evening. For the price of the milkshake I was hoping to get a bit more but it did taste lovely so I'm not complaining. The chicken wings are huge. Much bigger than average and they taste great too! The hot wings not only have spice, but also flavour. But 10$ for 5 is overpriced. My boyfriend ordered the Blue Candy bison burger. He loved it. It was huge, flavourful and everything he was expecting. The poutine was also amazing. They don't specifically give you the option to upsize your fries to the specialty poutines, but the waiter was kind enough to add all the ingredients. I ordered the so called award winning burger. It. Was. Terrible. To start, it was burnt to a crisp. The bun was burned, the patty itself was burned. And the "crispy" fries in the burger? Hard enough to audibly knock them on my plate. The waiter was exceptional, without skipping a beat he looked at the burger, said the fries are always crispy, and that the chefs seemed to have "charred" the burger a bit extra. He comped our drinks without even being asked because he knew there was no way of getting me a new burger since the kitchen had closed up. The egg was slimy and sadly the yolk had broken and drained onto the plate. The fries were pretty much inedible due to the hardness. The bun tasted horrible being so burned. The caramelized onions were abysmal, cut so thinly they resembled hair. The fact that one side of the patty was darker than charcoal made my appetite diminish even more. Picking at the non burnt pieces was not fun either. Honestly, I have had hundreds of burgers across this country, and never once been so dismayed by one that was in such high acclaim. I absolutely love how well advertised the business is on google and yelp, the addition of house taken professional photos on yelp and their website being superb is also great. I personally didn't feel like the food lived up to the quality that is advertised. Props to the waiter for handling this mess so well, I wanted to applaud him when he immediately came up with the term "overly charred" instead of admitting it was burnt. Would probably return for the wings and hot bartender.

Not sure if we ended up getting the wrong burgers, because reading some of the reviews, a lot of people are raving about the burgers here, since our experience was quite different. We started with a "FRIED CALAMARI" appetizer and I had the "QUEBECOIS", while my husband ordered the "HANGOVER BURGERWEEK WINNER". The calamari was pretty standard, the Quebecois lacked a bit of flavour, which was surprising with all the toppings. I ended up scraping some of the caramelized onions off, as the taste was a bit off putting (which is bizarre, as I love onions) and I feel as though the beef could have used some help in the flavour department as well. The Hangover Burger was definitely photo worthy, but my husband thought the whole thing was salty and just tasted like poutine. But I guess that was to be expected since there was a lot of poutine inside the burger. The service was friendly and it wasn't overly busy, so we didn't wait long for our food. We probably won't come here again as it was quite overpriced for subpar flavours or lack there of. Owner: Your burgers looked "On-Point" to me from the photos you uploaded. RE: I take good photos, so thank you; but something that looks good doesn't mean it tastes good. This is called a "review", your "sass" was "unnecessary" as not everyone shares the same taste or expectation.

I recently visited Burger Bar Crescent in Montreal, and it was a pretty laid-back experience. The gin and tonic was strong, definitely catering to those who enjoy a bold/strong drink. I’m not mad at it. One thing that stood out, though, is that they still use a QR code for the menu, which isn’t my favorite. I much prefer a physical menu—there’s something about flipping through one that just feels more comfortable and personal. The Jack Daniel’s wings were hands down the highlight—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with the perfect balance of sweetness and heat. They were delicious! I also tried the Supersonic burger, which was decently sized and juicy, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype. It was good, but a little more seasoning would have taken it to the next level. I’m curious to come back and try the burger that earned them the title of best burger in Montreal. The onion rings and fries were spot-on though—crispy and golden, just the way I like them. The place was pretty quiet, giving it a relaxed vibe, and the service was friendly. Overall, Burger Bar Crescent is a solid choice for tasty wings and a chill atmosphere, though the burger didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Normally I'm not someone to write reviews but my experience here was so bad it ended up partially ruining my monthly date night with my boyfriend, Wednesday the 27th March around 7-9 Pm.

While the food was mediocre, and there was many loud clanking noises from behind the bar, and the spacing of the tables was very cramped- my biggest issue was with the service received from our server Xena(I believe that was her name).

To start things off my boyfriend ordered a Buffalo Mac and cheese while I ordered a Buffalo Mac and cheese requesting the buffalo sauce be swapped for pesto, the fried cheese curds, and two milkshakes. We each took our turns ordering and there should have been no confusion with the order.

The waitress returns to our table with our cheese curds and let's us know that she made mistake and Input the wrong item so the kitchen had instead prepared a Buffalo poutine with my pesto modification and asks if we'd like it free of charge. Seeing as it was just a small mistake at the time, we accepted and agreed to wait until the rest of our food was made (pesto on Buffalo poutine was not the most palatable, but mistakes happen).

Fast forward a bit, and she arrives with one Mac and cheese and states it's the buffalo mac. We're missing one macaroni dish and just assume it's been delayed because of the poutine mishap. So we wait, and we wait, and we wait until she comes to check up on us and I ask her how long the second macaroni and cheese is going to be. Turns out she misunderstood our order and thought there was only one that we would share, even though my boyfriend and I were pretty clear.

We also ask when we will get our shakes, and she says they should be out soon. At this point it's been 40+ minutes since we initially ordered everything, two milkshakes do not take 40+ minutes on a relatively non busy night and arrive after everything else- and I'm convinced she forgot to input that as well. She also cleared away the poutine plate and took my boyfriend's fork with it.

We get our milkshakes not long after, and as the first Mac and cheese goes cold and dies we wait for my pasta. We get the pasta eventually and my boyfriend has to ask for another fork. Another fork that she says she'll bring and then walks away, and surprise she never brings it. We watch her wander around right after saying she'll be right back with it too. We eventually ask another waiter and he immediately brings one in under 20 seconds.

We finished eating, but since on of our food has since gone cold. The night sort of feels ruined, our appetite is gone so we ask for our stuff to go and leave after paying.

I understand mistakes happen, the issue that it was one mistake after another in order and ultimately ruined our experience, which is ultimately a shame as my boyfriend has been here before and had not encountered these issues so I suppose it was just our luck...

I would rank this place negative stars. NOT family friendly! We visited the place on a Friday night - a family of 5 with 3 little kids. We were told by the hostess it would take 10-15m wait, which we were willing to wait. In the meantime, all the people in the lineup were seated, including a group of 7 who arrived AFTER US. We asked to be seated in a table of 4 either inside or outside the place, but the hostess wouldn't let us. The table of 4 outside stayed empty the whole time... I guess the manager didn't want us to be the face of the place on a Friday night. The 10-15m wait time for 3 little kids and a very very pregnant mom became all of a sudden unknown.

After over than 30 minutes we left the place and took our business to the best PIZZA (real family friendly) in town (just across the Bay).

Owners of Burger Bar Crescent: you should be ashamed of yourselves and your employees! The hostess and her manager could have simply told us to leave, instead of hanging us out to dry. Every so and then she would peek outside to see if we were finally out of her hair 😆. Doesn't matter how well your burgers are done, you are the most unethical place we've bumped into!!!

EDIT: I appreciate of the place response to my review. However, I don't FEEL like people in the lineup were seated before us, I KNOW so. The group of 7 young people arrived after us and was seated before us almost right away, in a table that was supposed to fit us. Not to mention that all the people waiting with us were seated fairly quickly. Also, during the whole time the hostess was unsure of the wait time. When we left, the terrace table was still unavailable. Regardless, it was a big table, that the group of 7 who lined up AFTER US could have been seated in after us! It was pretty obvious you didn't want us there.

Your response and attempt to put the blame on us just points out what integrity...
