I've been ordering and picking up from many different Lebanese joints over the years, and I've grown to be quite picky and appreciative of the more authentic restaurants. Some you can tell are more Americanized but not here. Even amongst other Amirs, I must say this one on Pierrefonds Blvd remains above the competition with quality consistency.
We also had them cater for us this Summer for a party where the lovely Rima prepared a VERY generous quantity of food and even custom made an authentic salad which proved to be a big hit, especially considering it usually is little more than plain salad/garnish for the unrefined palate. All for a price lower than all the competition which offers way less for more. Having been to another party which catered through a competitor, seeing how was barely enough meat for half the group, at a steeper price and inferior quality...I came to appreciate our local Amir even more.
I notice the reviews are very bi-polar in that a bunch of people give 1 star because someone didn't smile at them one time, or didn't realize in some orders the sauce is extra (standard practice amongst the competition) or other such emotional rant/reviews based on one-time trivialities.
In any case, I would highly recommend this place to any, even more so if you're looking for catering. Ask for...

Ordered chicken pitas from here and the chicken was terrible. I never write reviews but that's how bad it was. Not only was it mainly skin and chicken fat, but the chicken itself tasted like rubber. We called the restaurent and spoke to the owner and she cut us off right away, shouting at us and telling us we don't know how to eat. She gave us attitude from the very first minute. She was daring us to bring the chicken back and said if we have issues, why do we order from there.
BTW - We ordered on Uber and got a refund. We were just politely calling her to let her know, in case other customers had the same issue.
AWFUL.
UPDATE: After reading our review, the owner called us back upset to tell us we have nothing better to do. We hung up before we could entertain the conversation but we won't be ordering...
Read moreCame in on a Thursday morning and ordered a combo plate. The vegetables were not ripe when served and the owner had taken the beef from the night before and microwaved it and served it to me. The beef then tasted very dry and burned.
I wanted to be served fresh meat and vegetables. If I wanted left over, microwaved, beef I would’ve remained at home and eaten the left overs there. For the price of $14 plus tax for a combo plate, I could’ve bought a fresh steak at the grocery store, instead I was served microwaved beef.
Regardless of how nice the owner is, next time I will be taking my business to Boustans or Pitaouk where they properly serve...
