There was a blonde server who actually ruined our night by begging us for tips when we couldn't afford to. We're broke ass students who just wanted a brew and a game cuz that's all we could get.
Server approached me during our game saying, "Excuse me. Service is not included." And I'm like, "Ok. I paid for my beers, I paid for the game. What exactly are you looking for?"
And she said, "I want tips."
First, this is capitalism. All she did was pour a damn drink. If I could afford a tip in the first place, I damn well would never tip some strumpet who's begging for it, and damn well wouldnt do so before her service was over.

Read moreBeen to alot of places with pool tables, and these are by far the best conditioned tables to play on. The staff are nice abd friendly, and its pretty cheap/ reasonably priced all around. There 5 a 7 (or happy hour) is insanely cheap.. I beleive the pints go for $5. The atmosphere is nice, music at the perfect level so you can enjoy it without having to scream and yell while having a conversation. When ive been there its always been a good respectful crowd. They also have a couple of fuseball tables for those interested. Oh, and its only $10/hr to play pool (i think happy hour is $5, but i dont know if thats still valid). Usually when a place is cheap its a dump, this is the exception...
Read moreA business model that gets sketchier as you go on. First, it's cash only and you have to have a drink with you to play pool. The kicker is that afterwards they tell you that you can only play for 1 hour.
So I guess in order to optimize your experience you need to make sure all of your party members buy exactly 1 hour worth of drinks? That, or just get one beer and nurse it throughout the game while predrinking somewhere better.
Pros: the beer taps are clean, server is quick, and you won't have to wait longer than 1...
