Café Dépôt — Restaurant in Montreal

Walked in, served by a rude lady not smiling, I smiled at her and ordered my drinks and she shouted at me to speak louder as she was looking at me in a very rude and bothered way. Regarding the drinks and food, totally watered down coffee looking like tea, the coco loco was overly sweet this time( it used to be better) the carrot cake was so dry that it felt like I was eating a dry cookie or something. I would rather go to the other café steps away(baristello) , Atleast they serve in a nicer way and take care of the clients and have fresh food and snacks.… cafés are supposed to provide a comfortable sweet environment with good tasting snack and drinks and this café depot definitely did not...

The lady working there is extremely rude and unpleasant. She acts as if taking orders is a burden and consistently treats customers poorly. It’s not just me I've witnessed her behaving disrespectfully toward others too, often shouting and yelling at customers without any reason (including today). She even made the customer before me feel stupid despite of getting his order wrong and then acted hostile towards me as well. Everytime she is on a shift it's a bad experience. Never had this issue with other baristas. They were super polite and welcoming.

I've personally had nothing but great service here, their coffee is pretty good, pastries are decent, but the sandwiches are absolutely vile. I tried 4 different ones over a couple weeks to give the store a real chance and they were all sad and terrible. ""Spicy"" pulled pork sandwich tasted of nothing but onions and unflavored pork, a Cubano with no pickles should be illegal, the red pesto chicken sandwich was the best thing I ate there but it was still very bland. Their food really needs some zing especially with their genuinely great lattés.

Cute spot but just order yourself a beverage...
