I write this because I want this place to be better. It used to be lovely for studying or working, but recent choices have removed the humanity from the place, installing an order screen and dismissively referring customers to signs and bits of paper scattered everywhere instead of speaking with them. I understand masks can be hard to speak through these days but the attitude is excessive and made me feel unwelcome. The rest of the renovations they did for tables and bright warm lighting are wonderful. The tea latte was also disgustingly sweet--please let customers sweeten to their taste. Flavour syrups just taste like corn syrup when you're expecting the taste of actual spices or vanilla. It's too bad for what was at one point a nice independent coffee shop. I now only come here as a last resort when all the other spots are closed. I'd love to see it come back towards the more welcoming ambiance...

I was asking the lady questions about the menu and she said to order on the TV. I asked to purchase a mask she said it’s 50 cents cash only. However, I wanted to pay credit card since I don’t carry money on me anymore, I ask if I could leave it in tip as I ordered something. She never replied and continue to cook her food.
I normally support local, however DO NOT GO HERE. Worst customer service, go to Tim Hortons right beside not worth it.
