LOVED my first time visiting this café! Can’t believe I’ve lived my entire life in Montreal and I’ve never been to this place sooner. The coffee is incredible... truly (I don’t know if it was just me or if their coffee is really strong, but it was like a jolt to the heart hahaha) and their cookies are what you would think the most perfect cookie in the world would look and taste like! As for the café itself, it’s such a cool atmosphere... almost like a laid-back beach hut in Australia??? The people working there are really nice, friendly and perfectly bilingual. The place is also really great and accommodating to remote workers (hence my photo). I’ve changed my review from 5 stars to 3 (really more like a 2.5, because I was not impressed by the cost of my eggs Benedict versus the meagre plate I was given!), because upon return to this cafe more than once, their internet has never worked! I spent an hour trying to get my browser to load, and considering this cafe accommodates remote workers/students, their wifi is horrendous for the amount of people in here with laptops! I came all the way out of my way from across town, spend $25 on food to sit and eat and work here, and i got absolutely nothing done in one hour because i was constantly trying to reload my browser. Truly annoyed. Never coming again!

A sweet little spot to work (if you find the space or get there early enough). Has an interesting 'flow' - can sometimes be crazy busy and sometimes just chill. Coffee's good! I'm a fan of their cortado. The cold coffee drinks are awesome too. The chocolate chip cookies - yeah they're deadly. I usually come in the morning and the gentleman who serves me is super friendly and accommodating. The music selection is quite eclectic. It's nice to hear music you wouldn't usually hear although sometimes it's disruptive and may not fit the café vibe (in my opinion). Overall a classic coffee shop in the Plateau and one of the only that closes later than most in the area.

It is a cute little spot. Very small though, which is okay, it wasnt crowded. The staff was very nice and happy-- it's good to see people having fun and look happy at work. Additionally, their drinks were on point!!! I ordered a vanilla latte and it was delicious. Even came with the cute little design on the foam. My friend also ordered a London Fog and she said it was really good. I also ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwhich, and it was seriously sooooooo good. I would definitely return JUST for that sandwhich. It was very flavorful and tbh unexpected. I'd love to come back.

What a bad experience this morning at Neve. I came in as my favorite cafe nearby had a power break, in hopes that Névé still had power. As I come in, I notice the lights and A/C are off, but the cash seems to be working. I ask about the lights and A/C and I just get a very dry reply that "it's normal". I decide to order and sit to work, but I quickly realize that all the power outlets are not working. I go to tell the barista, and she tells me that they should be working, but she didn't test them. I inform her that there is a power break on the street and she says "yes I know, but should be fine". I tell her I'll have to leave because I can't charge my devices. She simply brings a paper cup to my table, and let me leave with my muffin in my hand and my matcha in the paper cup that I had to put in myself. What lack of maturity and transparency. All the other shops of the streets had put up signs in the window informing clients that they was a power break. If your shop cannot provide the services it usually provides, it's your responsibility to inform your clients (before they buy something!). Sadly, Névé only had enough power to get 11$ out of me for a matcha and a muffin! The staff didn't seem to care at all about me, as they were chatting together as if nothing was wrong, while the whole cafe is in the darkness with super hot...

Solid cafe. Probably the best coffee in town in terms of consistency. If I'm not in a mood to play Russian roulette with my coffee on a given day, I'll make sure to head to this particular Neve. Hours are great! Makes sense that they stay open later, thus catering to people who can't get in there during the 9-5 hours. I mean, there is a community of people out there that aren't just students! The staff is mostly chill, and they put on fun tunes. The food is expensive though for what it is and limits when one would want to go to Neve (I mean why get food there?). Unfortunately, the temperature situation in there is bizarre, they have the AC blasting to the point where people have to put on their coats just to warm up, this is on most days. Feels like the freaking arctic in there all...
