Disappointing experien:
I was very disappointed with my visit. Right from the start, I was served a "polo" mojito in a cracked glass â completely unacceptable from both a hygiene and safety standpoint. To make matters worse, my friendâs chair was broken, which clearly shows a lack of maintenance.
The service was cold and unwelcoming. The waitresses seemed annoyed from the moment we arrived.
But what bothered me the most was the total lack of consideration for people with specific dietary needs. As someone who is gluten intolerant, I sometimes bring my own suitable snacks when there are no options available â something Iâve done at other cafĂ© without any issues, as staff are usually understanding. However, here, I was flat-out told I couldnât eat my gluten-free biscuits, even after explaining the situation. I understand that outside food is generally not allowed, but in a case like this, a bit of understanding and common sense would have gone a long way.
Honestly, I donât recommend this cafĂ©. There are plenty of better places out there â with better service, more customer care, and above all,...
Read moreI can start off by saying this place is my second home. I truly feel very comfortable with the atmosphere and the exquisite vibes. The staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel like family. The theme of the place is truly different from what you see in Montreal. I always see people being fascinated by the place. The drinks are amazing, the food is perfect, the desserts are yummyyyy. The laughter and enjoyment fills this whole place. I would recommend this to everyone and there is shishaaaaa made by jimmy which is amazing. I always have a great time when i come with my friends and even when i come and do some work. It fits both categories to come with friends to chill and play cards or board games and come alone to just finish up some work. Take my advice and come to Cafe Abu El Zulof you will definetly...
Read moreOne of the most memorable evenings Iâve had in downtown Montreal. The shisha is absolutely top-notchâflavorful and smooth. Their muhammara deserves every bit of praise: a roastedâpepper walnut dip thatâs easily next level. The food throughoutâshish tawouk, fattoush, and arayes kaftaâwas fresh, authentic, and packed with flavor. The vibe gets it right: cozy couches, warm lighting. Staff were gracious and attentive, making you feel welcomed from start to finish.
For those nitpicking or criticizing ambient smokeâremember, this is a shisha cafĂ©. Itâs like asking a cinema to turn down the volume. Know your spot.
If youâre looking for genuine Middle Eastern flavors, incredible shisha, and outstanding ambiance, CafĂ© Abu el Zulof is a mustâvisit.
P.S Iâm Middle Eastern my review is...
