Came for dinner on May 17 with friends. Similar to the other Kinton franchises, the dishes were well presented and tasty! 2 of the 3 servers we had were exceptionally polite and helpful. However, one server, Leslie, was extremely rude throughout:
Berated my friend when she misunderstood her order and had to therefore make a simple change. My friend must have apologized 5 times before the server then told her next time to be more clear and check her order is understood. When she brought the wrong cheques to our table she was extremely put out that she had to go back and correct them The greatest offense: I handed her my credit card as requested and she charged by paypass without ever handing me the machine. She was annoyed when I later asked to see the receipt. As I looked through it she asked if I wanted to "pay twice" when I commented not remembering being given the machine. I saw that she overcharged me $17.24 on veggie ramen that is supposed to be $13.50 + tax. Worse, she gave herself a tip on top of that without ever asking me. This goes beyond unacceptable for me. Her rudeness made me realize arguing would be pointless as she started out combative and I just wanted to leave at that point.
Otherwise, the meals themselves were well done and the other staff super friendly. But, would not return since I feel I cannot trust...
Read moreI really enjoyed my experience here this afternoon. The service was wonderful, and available in English. The food came out pretty quick, and was delicious. We tried the Chiki Chiki Don, Age Gyoza and Original Karaage for appetizers, and they were all pretty good. The Karaage is basically battered and deep fried chicken thigh, and is definitely worth a taste.
Main course was Roast Beef Ramen for my wife. A cold ramen with a soft poached egg, and medium rare beef on thick noodles, no broth. She liked it a lot and it was perfect for a hot summer day. I ordered the Miso Pork Ramen with egg and menma. It was absolutely perfect. The pork belly was flame seared, giving it a great fire roasted taste. The corn was sweet and salty. The bushes were very springy, eggs and menma both on point. I have not had many better bowls in my life.
The atmosphere was really nice, and clean. I was watching the bartender meticulously clean glasses to ensure no spots could be found. That level of care is pretty rare to find.
I cannot recommend this...
Read moreVery happy with my experience here. We arrived around 11:40 on a Thursday and it was already packed. But we were greeted rapidly and shown to our table. The ramen options are what you'd expect and you have a good amount of add-ons to customise your ramen the way you like. I went with the mushrooms and grated garlic. We got our meals pretty quickly and we were all impressed. The broth was savoury and the noodles (I went with the thick ones) were firm and tasty. I ordered the Shoyu porc. I don't I've had porc that flavourful in ramen outside of Japan. Each item was tasty on its own but came together to make the best ramen I've had in a while. The one caveat is one of my friends who went to their other location found that the broth was overly salty. None of us had that issue today (we were 3), but I thought that it bared mentioning. I had a house lemonaid (non alcoholised version) and it's definitely homemade. Some might find it strong but it works as the ice melts in the drink. The restaurant is a must try if you are...
