I walked in here by chance one day. After looking at their website I felt that I wouldn’t be shopping here because the rings just weren’t what I was looking for exactly. But I passed by it and gave it a shot out of curiosity. I had an idea for a ring based on a similar design I had seen elsewhere, and although they didn’t offer that exact design over the counter, I wondered if they could create it. I was met by Yoan, and he said they could create it as a custom ring. Right then I thought it would probably be way out of my budget, but I was extremely surprised when Yoan quoted me for a very good price. It seemed almost too good. In the end we ended up proceeding with the design.

Yoan helped me in creating a custom ring that I could not be any happier with. The ring I wanted to design was very complicated, with many intricate details. It was a long process that required a lot of work, and I wanted it to be perfect. I would not settle for anything less than perfect and both Yoan and Hann were extremely patient with me every step of the way. We went from an idea to a beautiful finished product.

I highly recommend coming here for jewellery if you want the perfect piece. You will not be disappointed. I can honestly say that they take pride in providing a superior product to their customers, and they do their absolute best to work within your budget and make sure that you walk out completely satisfied. I had a horrible experience with this company. My fiancé proposed with a beautiful ring that I later bent when I caught it on a door. I contacted the company to ask for them to fix it, Erica said it should be about $85. After waiting weeks to get it back and calling numerous times I was told it was taking a while because of the manner in which it had bent and they had to basically remake the ring. They said it should cost more like $500 to fix but they were honouring the price they had originally told me (i didn’t care I just wanted it fixed). When I got it back it was…a different shape completely. My original ring was a pear shape with a pointed top and when they gave it back it was rounded on the top, it was nice but not the ring my fiancé had chosen for me, when I communicated my shock Erica actually said she liked this way better than the pointed ring and that I should keep it like this. I couldn’t believe it. We asked them to return it to the original shape and when I finally got that ring back a small diamond fell out a few days later! When I brought it back once again they returned it to me with 2 diamonds around the band missing and when I once again confronted them they claimed the missing diamonds on the sides of the band was the jewellers’ “signature”, not just holes where they had taken a diamond to replace another one. The prongs holding the diamond in place were also very janky looking as though someone was making a ring for the first time. The whole situation was very traumatic...

I recently bought an engagement ring from Ecksand, and the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. This was actually my first time buying a piece of jewelry this expensive, so I wasn’t totally sure what to expect — but Ecksand made it incredibly easy and enjoyable.

I surprised my fiancée with the ring, and she immediately fell in love with it. The craftsmanship and fine details are just stunning. It features a gorgeous 1.5 CT lab-grown diamond (E, VVS2), a heart accent diamond, a diamond bridge, and a unique rope pavé design. We also added a personal engraving inside the band, which made it even more special and meaningful.

Huge shoutout to Mackenzie Kilbourne (Director of Online Sales) who was beyond helpful throughout the whole process. She was super responsive, friendly, and really made sure everything was perfect. I felt completely supported the entire time — from designing the custom ring to getting updates on production.

The turnaround time was quick (about a month), and they overnight shipped the ring to me in Calgary in secure, eco-friendly packaging. It also came with all the proper documentation, including the IGI certification.

Honestly, I couldn’t recommend Ecksand more — especially if you’re looking for a local, Canadian brand that focuses on ethical craftsmanship, attention to detail, and genuine customer care. Whether it’s your first time buying fine jewelry or not, they make the whole process feel easy...
