I hate to be critical because the server was friendly and great, and the ambience adorable. And my hopes were high for this high tea. The food was really not very good compared to other high tea experiences. The bread was very, very dry. Seemed not fresh. Perhaps it sat in the fridge too long? I traveled over 35 minutes by car for this experience and expected it to be delicious based on the photos. The scone was tasty and buttery but also on the dry side. The toppings for the scone were delicious. The tofu sandwich filling was not good. Tasted very mustardy and the seasoning was off. The toast with mushrooms was bland. The faux foie gras on bread… lacking in flavour. I enjoyed the mini pound cake on the top tier; very decadent. The macarons were good. My panacotta dessert was really dry, rubbery and jello-like. I couldn’t eat it. Again definitely sat in the fridge too long. My friend’s was very good. Perhaps it’s a different dessert with the vegetarian platter but I did not order vegan and made it clear that I eat dairy products. I do appreciate the effort to offer options for various diets but sadly the execution for the majority of the items was not there. :( Warning: Parking is an...
Read moreWe recently visited and can't recommend it enough! This charming tea house is an incredibly cute and intimate place that instantly makes you feel at home. The gorgeous décor, adorned with an array of beautiful teacups, and a warm ambiance make it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
It truly feels like stepping into the cozy living room of an old British home, which is exactly the vibe we love. On this perfect fall day, sipping tea here was an experience to cherish. The selection of exceptional teas was impressive, and each one was brewed to perfection.
The scones were delightful—light, fluffy, and served with delicious jam and cream that complemented them beautifully. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy.
An ideal spot to meet for any type of encounter, whether it's catching up with a friend or a more intimate conversation. The comfortable setting encourages meaningful dialogue, and I left feeling both relaxed and satisfied. If you're looking for a cozy tea house, this is definitely the...
Read moreI tried Le Parloir last Sunday and must say that the experience was disapointing.
First the location is not ideal. It was extremly difficult to find parking and it's not easily accessible via public transportation either. For someone like myself who is from out of town, accessibility is important.
The duck crostini, beef canape, cucumber sandwich, smoked salmon sandwich and ham sandwich all lacked seasoning. They tasted very bland and the ingredients were not fresh. The foie gras canape was good.
Everything on the dessert tier was very sweet. The lemon cake was dense and the macaron's flavor tasted fake. The chocolate was ok.
However, the scone was delicious, one of the best I've ever had. The devonshire cream was delicious and light and the panna cotta amazing!
I like the fact that they offer a vegan and vegetarian option.
The place was nice and cozy. The portions are perfect, they nailed the ratio of sweet vs savory and the tea...
