Popped in to try somewhere new, ordering a latte, with the possibility of ordering more. Overall negative experience for two reasons:

  1. The prices that ring up do not match the listed price. I ordered a single shot latte but was charged way more, almost the price of a double. Listed price is $3.75, but mine rang up as over $5 after tax. When I pointed to the price on the wall, the explanation was that it was taxes. But when I pointed to the base price on the screen ($4.50), the server said it was her first shift and it's the price the machine gave her. After staring at her blankly for 10 seconds, she asked if I'd like a refund of the difference. That really shouldn't be a question.
  2. Imagine your standard latte. The one that I received at Les Impertinentes was 1/3 the size of that. I was done in 3 sips. Not to mention the foam was nothing close to what a latte should be. Not something worth being overcharged $5+ for.

Edit to reply to owners response: Your inability to comprehend criticism and warp it into deranged positivity is concerning. Also, I don't know if the person who lied to me about it being her first shift (as you indicated), is the same person lying to me here, but you served your latte in a Turquoise IKEA Fargrik Mug as seen in your pictures. It's easy to search for these online and see they are 8oz – and my drink certainly wasn't filled to the rim.

If you're okay with your mediocrity and lies then I'm okay with...

Had their pistachio matcha latte and beetroot hummus with feta toast. Both tasted good but the latte was crazy expensive ($9 before tax), so this was definitely something I would only ever get once to try and never again. The texture of the toast was nice but as you can tell by the color it doesn’t look like there’s much beetroot in the hummus at all (I couldn’t taste it, and the grocery store hummus I usually get is much more flavorful). It is, however, a good place to study if that’s what you’re looking for. The music isn’t too loud and they have tables with outlets. But I would probably just save the money and get a simple drink because the one other time I came, I ordered a lavender matcha latte but they forgot about the lavender part, so they just pumped syrup on top of the regular matcha that they...

Cute cafe integrated with a very friendly ballet school (which is excellent and inclusive by the way)! The service is fast and friendly as well. There are vegan options (milkshakes, Korean sweet potato toast, cookies, cakes and bowls) as well as dairy free milk options. The cafe itself if comfy and has a selection of feminist books to read from. There is a small shop attached to the ballet school selling local items and...

Loved this little cafe. They serve a great selection of toasts and some pretty good peach iced tea. I originally asked for the Cajun shrimp and avocado toast, but they were out of shrimp so they whipped up a cajun Salmon and avocado toast instead. It was just as delicious! The cafe is also very cozy and a great place to sit down and read a book while having some tasty food.
