Marven's Restaurant — Restaurant in Montreal

*edit: unfortunately like many other good restaurants the food has changed here. Not sure if it's new chefs but the food doesn't even taste like Greek food anymore. Feels salty and tastes like heavily doused in Montreal steak spice and other strange flavors. The pitas aren't even wrapped properly, like someone who never made a pita before. It's sad because the service staff is so nice and it's a staple in the community. Hopefully it will get better again like to used to be.

Always the the best chicken/porc souvlaki and calamari. When most restaurants are giving smaller portions, lesser quality, Marvens doesn't change their portions, freshness and flavors! The service is always great at takeout . Keep it up!

Very tasty food. Even with the higher prices it's still ok because you're getting real food!

They need to wrap their pitas with wax paper or something. It's a wet mess! One layer of wrapping is not enough for takeout. But still yummy!

Been eating here for years...Porc souvlaki pita or stick is great! Big portion, good flavour and lean but soft. Calamari is great when it's hot and crispy and the oil doesn't taste fishy... same goes for the fries. Chicken gyro is very good too. I will be forced to change my first review given more than 2 years ago. Marvens has changed a lot in the past 2 years. For sometime I refused to hear other people recommending new places, Marvens was the only one I cared in Montreal.any changes happened, i was told these changes were necessary to cut costs and remain competitive, i saw Marvens cutting on its signature the bread/butter, increasing price, reducing portion size, and I still returned because the calamari was still good, and believe me, it is still good, but today I was confronted because of tips. I always over tip, sometimes 30%+, today was different, I didn't feel tipping much and the waiter went after me saying that wasnt enough. I understand waiters are suffering after all changes, the number of customers over the past years have reduced drastically. There is no more line ups or waiting time, there are always empty tables, so waiters cannot make what they did in the past, but chase a customer to ask for more tips, not even asked why I was not being generous that time, only said "You haven't given enough". It is time to say goodbye Marvens. I will miss the calamari, coz I don't appreciate being...

This is for Marven’s DELIVERY option via either UBER EATS or DOOR DASH!! I order the 2 porc souvlaki skewers with Greek salad, rice and potato. First the staff are great at getting the order done fast! Second the presentation is excellent, u feel like u are getting exactly what u would expect if a restaurant is treating u right when delivering food to u! the salad comes in it’s own container, very nice looking, with a transparent lid allowing u to see the salad which is a nice touch, in a separate container, which again is very nice looking, u have the two pork skewers, potato wedges and rice nicely presented! The whole containers food presentation is excellent! Now the food, salad is fresh, large and excellent and comes with a lovely vinaigrette. The 2 pork souvlakis skewers are well cooked and tasty, the rice is perfect, the fries are tasty and perfectly cooked and u get a large serving of each. Add on a very tasty sauce that comes with it which adds a nice zest to the meal. So, excellent quick preparation for delivery, excellent presentation, generous portions and delicious!
