My recent dining experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional! Coming all the way from Vancouver, I had the opportunity to savor dishes that I've been missing for years, as they're not readily available in my hometown.
The staff truly made my visit memorable with their warmth, friendliness, and constant smiles. From the moment I stepped in, their helpfulness and attentiveness were evident, creating a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful evening.
Now, let's talk about the food – an absolute feast for the senses! I couldn't resist ordering the Mazbi, Masoob, and Adany Chai, and each dish surpassed my expectations. The flavors were rich, authentic, and transported me back to the essence of the cuisine I've been longing for. The Mazbi was perfectly cooked, the Masoob was a burst of delightful taste, and the Adany Chai provided a comforting conclusion to my meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, creating a cozy and inviting space where I could savor every bite. Whether you're a local looking for an exquisite dining experience or a traveler wanting to explore the culinary treasures of the area, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit.
In conclusion, my visit was a culinary journey that exceeded all expectations. I left with a satisfied palate, a happy heart, and a deep appreciation for the friendly staff and the delicious cuisine. Five stars without a doubt – I can't wait for...
Read moreExcellent! This is a family run restaurant that offers delicious food and cultural experience. Everything is prepared to perfection. I have had lots of different styles of cuisine from the middle east and this one is one of the best I have had. I had the Fahsa which is like a lamb stew. The style of cooking creates the most succulent, tender lamb I have ever tasted. I had the chicken mazbi, cooked on stones, this was so tasty. Amazing seared crispy edges and smoky flavour throughout the meat. I compare this to a roast chicken which is enjoyable in it's own way. But chicken mazbi beats a roast chicken any day of the week. I finished with a chai and I consider myself a chai afficionado, having travelled through India and making authentic chai myself. This was really great chai, I can't quite place all the spices but slightly different than most of the Indian chai (which has huge variation) but very very good. Almost forgot, we had 3 samosas - beef, vegetable, cheese. That a cheese samosa - you must try this. Melted cheese inside a dough pocket, how can you go wrong? The cheese is so fresh, it's hot and melted, slightly salty, inside a thin skinned samosa. We ordered 4 more...
Read moreI recently tried the Lamb Mandi here, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience especially considering the price of $31.
First, the food quality does not justify the cost. The rice lacked flavor, and the meat was equally underwhelming with no distinct taste or seasoning that would make it stand out. The portion size was surprisingly small compared to other restaurants that offer larger servings at a much lower price. To make things worse, the dish did not include even the basics like salad or nuts unless you paid extra, which made it feel incomplete and not authentic.
What made this more frustrating is that I had high expectations given the restaurant’s 1400+ reviews, but it simply did not live up to the reputation. The value for money is just not there.
On a positive note, I will say that the staff were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, good service cannot make up for food that leaves you feeling dissatisfied, especially when the price is so steep.
Overall, this is not a place I would recommend if you are looking for authentic, flavorful Mandi or a fair portion for what you pay. There are much better options available at more...
