The Best High-Quality Chinese Food in Downtown Montreal - Hands Down.
First things first this is, without a doubt, the best high-quality Chinese food in downtown Montreal, or maybe even the whole city. And that's a fact. You won't find anything quite like it anywhere else (you can try). I'm not a Michelin-star chef, but even a two year old with a worm as for a brain could tell you that the quality and portions here are top-tier.
Let's start with the orange chicken the absolute star of the menu, in my opinion. The sauce isn't overly sweet, and the portion is more than generous. Pair it with a simple cup of white rice? Perfection Next up, the chow mein and somehow, it's even better. If you're dining as a couple and want to stay within a $30 budget, this is the way to go. Delicious, satisfying, and worth every penny.
Now, the disappointing part and I'll take some of the blame for this one. As I said, this place is the best Chinese restaurant in town, but I made the mistake of ordering a Vietnamese beef pho here. Big regret. The broth was watery and flavorless, the noodles were bland and overly soft, like they had been soaking overnight before being thrown in the soup. The only decent part? The beef strips. Would I get it again? Not a chance l'd rather eat canned soup in space for a year.
That being said, the overall experience was fantastic. Great food, great atmosphere, and I'll definitely be coming back just not...

Food For the type of place and price this restaurant does go the extra mile. The food is really tasty, so far I haven't had anything that I dislike. My favorite dish has to be the Peanut Butter Chicken, the best I've ever try. Runner-up could be the Shrimp Pad Thai. The quantities are perfect, they serve you quite well, on average you might even take some food to go.
Service Service is great, the waiters they do feel friendly, and they are really polite, and without being too overwhelming. The waiters are really friendly and you can really see they are trying their best to make your experience at the restaurant the best. The only issue I might have is that, not always, but few times the waiters might not pay enough attention to the costumers, specially when they don't have a rush. Don't pay too much attention to this part of my comment, while is true, it should not be taken as an excuse to not try this place. The food and prices do compensate this, and again at least for me, it's the best place to eat.
Ambiance The place is quite simple, while it's ambiance is not astonishing, the place is OK.
One of the best places someone can eat, specially if you are looking for good and tasty food. The restaurant is worth even more than what their costumers...
Read moreI ate here about four months ago. I am shocked to see so many good reviews. We ordered the food, which came out maybe 3 minutes later, clearly having been re-heated. Which could have been fine, if it weren't for the food being absolutely disgusting. And it was such a generous portion size. I ordered the pad Thai. It was clearly not fresh and just tasted strange, it was extremely orange. I was the only one who ate more than a few bites of my food, only because I can't afford to have a meal out and not eat all of it. Everyone else hated theirs and could not eat. When paying, my friends left a tip, but me and my boyfriend did not. The server then demands a tip but from BOTH parties at our meal. So my friends ended up feeling pressured to tip AGAIN (we didn't know but they're both super non-confrontational), and my boyfriend and I had to tip. And normally I'm extremely pro-tipping, but the server was rude and the food made me nauseated. I am not picky whatsoever. This is the worst restaurant I can remember eating at in a...
