Spectacular Onigiri! One of the best I’ve had in Montreal! I was quite surprised how big their “Classic” size onigiri was, (which is the smallest). The service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. I ordered the spicy raw tuna, which I found to be not hot at all, but maybe I have a good tolerance for spice. Happily, they gave me a generous portion of raw tuna, which was incredibly fresh, a good deal at $5. It came served on a beautiful wooden plate, which looked great, but unfortunately it quickly fell apart in my hands as I was eating, which never happened to me before. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Onigiri Shop Mile End, and I look forward to trying the rest...

The Onigiri (Japanese Rice Ball shaped into a triangle) at Onigiri Shop Mile End was good. Would definitely recommend if craving a good onigiri in the Montreal, QC area.

The Fuji Mountain Onigiri (fresh salmon, kanikama (crab stick), shrimp, avocado, kelp, grilled cheese, egg yolks, furikake, and tempura) was delicious and filling. The assortment of seafood, egg yolk, veggies, and sauce work wonderfully in this onigiri.

The Beef-Tama Onigiri (miso marinated beef, egg yolk and green onion) was good. The beef was flavourful and delicious.

Of the two onigiris, we liked the Fuji Mountain...

Super delicious and very generous filling amounts! The staff are also super nice. I feel the price is very fair considering it’s not too much more than a prepackaged onigiri elsewhere, with much better quality.

The device that beeps when your order is ready is really… really annoying (and loud). It was hard to enjoy a quick sit down meal when they were going off every minute. I hope they can figure out an alternative way of letting customers know their order is ready- the restaurant is small enough to not require...
