A gem of a hole in the wall eatery! We were immediately told that they were a vegan restaurant upon entering (which we knew, but it was nice it was emphasized for those who aren't looking for vegan food). Everything we ate tasted nice and fresh! I had the pho with vermicelli and thought the broth was fragrant with a good depth of flavour. The "meatballs" were pretty comparable in texture and taste. The service was very friendly! While we dined in for lunch, multiple people came in to take out food so it seems like a popular place amongst locals. Happy we made a stop here! Their prices are affordable for the portions. All of the plates or bowls we had were between $12.99 to $14.50.

One of my fave go-to vegetarian restaurants. The Vitamense pho is super duper tasty. The broth is next level and I love all the ingredients they pack in. If you’re into spicy flavors, I highly recommend adding their spicy sauce that completely transforms the pho with a whole new layer of flavor. Also, don’t miss out on their bún. You can choose from a bunch of options like curry tofu, mushrooms, tofu, and more. The staff is super friendly and the prices are budget-friendly. Overall, highly recommended!

I HAVE FOUND THE BEST VEGAN BAHN MI!

And look, I only had to fly across the country for it!

Excellent sandwich for an incredible price. Like whoa!! The bread is so good. Authentic French baguettes and you can tell. Crisp, but not too hard. Nice and fluffy on the inside. Filling is delicious and fresh, too.

Shop is very clean with lots of yummy interesting groceries for sale. Was offered very refreshing cucumber water which was much appreciated on this blistering afternoon.

The one thing I’d ask for is more tofu!! But, front desk lady was very kind and the food is awesome! I recommend végé BBQ bahn mi!

Edit: I have now tried all the banh mi flavours. The yuba is my favourite, but they’re all amazing! the family that owns the shop recognizes me, bc I am here almost every single week. I know they sick of me — STOP making such good...

The main menu is simple, offering 4 soups, and 4 sandwiches (they also offer a variety of other refrigerated foods, and frozen selections).

I ordered the BBQ Gluten sandwich first, upon recommendation from the lovely staff. They were absolutely right in the suggestion, as that ended up being my favourite. It was so delicious though, that I went back for seconds...and then thirds.

In order of my preference (very hard to decipher as all are delicious): the BBQ Gluten, Bean Curd, Mushroom, and Tofu Curry. All on warm, crisp footlong banquets, all vegan. Each $4 FLAT. (My friend also got the pho, which was a large helping, and also well received. He preferred the sandwiches though.)

Pros: Unreal taste, Great price, Quick, friendly, service

Cons: Not really a con, but not much seating & not fancy, You'll want to eat it all...
