**Ok for drinks and ambiance not for food or dinner** We tried visiting this place when the patios opened up in Montréal a few weeks ago. There were tables available however we were told they were reserved. So at the time we went to another restaurant on St-Denis. In order to guarantee a place today, we reserved in advance. The local beer pints on tap (Boreal, st-Ambroise and one l’île noire which is a red). We ordered the charcuterie platter ($22) with the description that you see on the menu. No indication that they are out of foie gras mousse and a replacement of what appeared to be a Costco selection of cured meats. There was a big glob of mustard a few pieces of bread and voila. I think they should take notes from pubs and breweries in the area because we didn’t feel like we got our money’s worth. Also, we didn’t feel the server was enthusiastic about the menu, we understand why. When we asked about food items in the Google review, they remark was that they “changed” the menu Our conclusion, Ok place for beers and drinks, not for food.

I had been wanting to go there for a long time but never did. I was not disappointed at all! The terasse is very cozy and the pub looks stunning inside with a beautiful showcase of whisky/liquor bottles. I had 2 cocktails and they were flavorful! Im not usually a fan of cocktails (mostly beer) but I would go there again for that. They have their own red ale (l'île noire) which is also very tasty!! Their selection of whisky and Gin is HUGE (like 14 pages) Another good thing is the taxes are already included in the price shown on the menu! That's cool! Anyways I can't wait to go again!

2024: the Revolver was the best. The Tartan tasted like an Old Fashioned. The Black Cosmo and Sakura spritz were refreshing. Definitely enjoyed the grilled cheese but the charcuterie+cheese board was pretty disappointing, as the pita chips shouldn't have been there (they're meant for dips), the nuts and pickles could have been switched out for a third cheese, and the rillette needed salt. Focaccia was nice. 2019: Incomparable selection of whiskey, well located, pleasant service. Second time there and enjoyed both experiences.

Things started fine. They have a very nice venue and the bar person was very nice and effective. We had a reservation for 15+, and when the rest of the group started to arrive we were moved to the "back". Things started to degenerate from there. Mind you, the place was packed quickly. I blame it on management understaffing the place. Mistakes and long waits. At some point we had to go to the bar to remind them we had an order pending. One of our group had to go early, and the waiter decides he's handing out the evenings tally to each of us. I guess we're done. It's not even nine P.M. So I guess it's a sign our business isn't good enough for them. The only way to express my frustration was to tip 10% rather than mu usual 20. I'm really sorry to the waiter, but I didn't have another way to express my frustration. I hope this reaches management and creates a desire for...

The first time I get to know this pub was to attend an event for Life Sciences / biotechnology professionals in November 2016 and I fell in love with it immediately. It has nice vibes it is actually less like a bar, you feel you are at friends elegantly and stylishly fashionable home :). To enter you take the stares from street and you walk in. They have three spaces a patio, main area with tall chairs and narrow table and also cozy low coaches. The 3rd space is in the rear where there a second bar and with tall and low chairs and tables. I love their rear space, it is usually quieter and less crowded. That's where we the event was going on. Doesn't matter how crowded the front bar is but the rear bar could be quite.

Short: very nice place either for hanging out with friends, taking a date, farewell gatherings or for...
