I cant imagine i was visiting the same restaurant as the other reviewers here. Upon arrival, we were struck by the..ahem..barren decor? And that there was only 1 other couple there. The waitress seemed barely able to crack a smile or greet us, and told us to sit anywhere. We sat, received our menu, and were told there was no more of the daily special, but the guacamole was recommended, without a price mentioned (8$ for a small bowl) but we ordered it anyway. It was decent, thank goodness, otherwise we would have ended up starving, as our dishes were basically inedible. I had the chicken tacos, which were incredibly dry, flavorless and unseasoned, with some lettuce and cheesish sour cream. Thankfully we had salsa, so i dipped for some flavor. I never received a knife. My bf had the chicken enchiladas, which were soggy, unseasoned, and unpleasant. The rice was, no exaggeration, the worst i have ever tasted in my life, vomity mush. We were as you can imagine, severely disappointed. The waitress never asked us how we were doing, took away our plates without asking how they were, didn't offer us dessert, more drinks, or our bill, all while acting like we were putting her out for being there. A fail...
Read more5 years ago I gave this place five stars. Unfortunately I find that it is not as good. The food is still the same quality from what I remember, but when the environment and the service is Not great it really affects the experience. The setup is odd. The menu is on these low tables and your neck starts to hurt as you have to lower yourself down to read what's on there. I don't understand why they can't go back to just giving people menus at tables like they used to. This covid era is over and lining up behind people who are ordering is just an odd set up. We finished our food and went to pay but we have to wait behind somebody who was ordering or picking up a delivery. They have just one person to focus on deliveries, orders and paying the tab. It's just a long wait and we literally waited 45 minutes for a quesadilla and some guacamole and nachos. It feels like they are prioritizing deliveries and putting the people who come second. People who ordered after us got their food before us. The cashier we had seemed lifeless. It's kind of strange but they all seem like very nice people, its...
Read moreArrived at 6pm with tickets to a show upstairs at Sala Rossa at 8pm. We ordered promptly but food didn't arrive until 7:45pm! We had to chase the waitress to find out what was going on. No explanations, no apologies. We were told that we could bring food upstairs, but as it was General Admission and no tables, that was completely unfeasible. The people who arrived just after us ended up cancelling their orders as they wouldn't get their food in time! Food was flavorful though slightly underwhelming. They were out of fish, so I had the brisket soft tacos. Be aware that any sides must be ordered separately as there is not even lettuce on the plate. The room is extremely loud (weird acoustics) and I had difficulty hearing the person talking across the table from me. My suggestion is that the restaurant should "staff up" on concert nights. From other reviews it sounds like people have had a...
