This restaurant is ONLY getting a star because of the food... the service is what ruuned this restaurant for us.. it was the WAITRESS.. first off , she didnt smile or respond to me to thanking her for our seats.. then after waiting forever to be asked for our drinks or orders, we could overhear her telling other customers they need to wait when they tried to get her attention for something... so after the meal, we pretty much felt RUSHED to pay, which we did by debit. And before my fiance coukd even get his debit card out of the machine.. she literally looked over his shoulder at the machine the whole time then begins to tell him that "by the way she doesnt get paid when he pays his bill and that she lives off tips.. my fiance was a bit shocked and asked her to clarify what she was saying where she begins to tell him he needs to tip her ... thats when i said Nope, get up lets go.. she didnt even give him a chance to get his card out of the machine before rudely saying all this where she didnt notcie the cash in my hands which i gkadky put back .. she then tried to change her tone and apologizes by saying its been dry for tips all day.. which is her own fault anyways.. even though she didnt deserve the tip , we would have gladly left it if she didnt rudely embarrass and tell my fiance he MUST tip her.. did i mention she came right away with the bill without even offering to get us even ONE refill of our drinks or water? Dont expect good treatment but...

Went here on last night of Canada holiday as it was reasonably priced and close to our hotel. Place looked retro with old school booths, drab decor and faded pictures of menu dishes on walls. Sat down and ordered a smoked Turkey sandwich. Our waiter was a little too attentive and slightly creepy. I was surprised when he interrupted my meal halfway through offering to wrap up what was left on my plate. It would have been evident to anyone else that I had not yet finished. What happened next was baffling. I have paid for meals before or after I'd eaten them but never during. The waiter came over and said that he was due to finish his shift at 10 and could we settle up before he left. I made sure we asked for coke refills before I paid but he took away my glass and did not return it so I had to remind him. Didn't understand why I couldn't settle up with another member of the waiting staff . Maybe he was worried about his colleagues muscling in and taking his tip. Because of this I didn't give him a very good one as it was poor service. We felt very uncomfortable but were relieved we didn't have to deal with him any further. Another member of staff later asked us if we wanted dessert which we declined as we didn't want to go through paying twice. It was a shame as desserts looked good but all in all food was OK and no more than that. There is a better looking Rueben's up the road where hopefully you will be left alone to...
