Dear Ben and Florentine,

It's no secret I love my breakfast and my definite go to place is your outlet on Mansfield. I came back on Sunday Oct 6th and it is always wonderful.

Every time I go, I get the very best service and quality breakfast. Today, I will tell you about a very special waitress that really works very hard and is an ambassador of your brand. She is an inspiration, one of those people you always want breakfast from.

Marie-Pier is extremely devoted to you and her clients and she has always treated me like gold, been extremely attentive and caring. She is one of those waitresses every other restaurant wished they had.

Not only does she know her menu inside and out, she really gives personalized quality service not found elsewhere. She is very careful with your brand and is alert in her entourage. She assists other waitresses, makes sure things run smoothly.  It's not just about my service but everyone else. She gives so much to Ben and Florentine and absolutely loves her work with you, I feel it each time.

She's the waitress that has it all, beautiful inside and out, giving her best service with very high professional standards.Attentive and very very hard working.

She has served me for years and each time, i got more than breakfast, I got a welcome home experience. You ought to be very proud of her and her contribution.

I don't know if you have an employee incentive program but I am compelled to write as i am in awe each time Marie-Pier gives me her service. She deserves a nice bonus, a certificate or something like that.

Just awful. I went with 2 family members for breakfast. We were seated fairly quickly and the waiter came to take our orders when we were ready. Then it was all downhill from there. Our orders were NOT complicated; just your standard breakfast fare. 15 minutes went by, then 20, then 30, then 40 minutes. The waiter kept saying that we were next, that our food was coming in "just 2 minutes". I couldn't help noticing that everyone seated near us was also waiting ages for their food, and they were even there before us! The worst part of it was that the waiter kept on saying that our food was on its way, that we were up next, and that it was taking a while because one of our dishes takes longer to make. It was never mentioned to us at any point that the dish was more time-consuming to prepare (and it was nonsense because it doesn't take THAT long to make basic breakfast food). To add insult to injury, the waiter said we were only waiting 20 minutes, and that the food was coming any minute now. I was looking at my watch periodically that whole time. 45 minutes is NOT 20 minutes. We finally walked out. Terrible experience. We definitely won't be returning. We came in at lunch time today so the place was quite busy. The receptionist was friendly and looking genuinely happy to see us. The waitress was busy but she came in and took our order in a timely fashion.

They have separate French and English menus which I find preferable to the one menu-two languages system. They are easy to sort through and have excellent verity for all tastes.

The wait for the order to arrive was considerably longer than we had anticipated. It could be due to how busy they were at lunch time. My wife's order was good, mine was missing the bacon. Therefore, I told the waitress about the error and she was very quick to fix it. However, she didn't offer any apology or reason for the mistake. I was so hungry at this point that I didn't bother to ask for either.

The quality of the food was great, the portion size was generous, the coffee was fresh, the prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was lively.

All in all, we enjoyed the experience at Ben & Florentine. However, I will only recommend this place if you are looking for good brunch and you are not in a hurry. In this case, the delicious food can make up for...
