We are from Boston, Massachusetts and wanted to try authentic Moroccan food in Montreal. This place exceeded all expectations! My boyfriend was born and raised in Morocco and can attest to authenticity. As soon as we walked in, the owner introduced himself and addressed us by our names. The setting is absolutely stunning, and the service was just spectacular. Must haves are the couscous, kefta and Moroccan tea amongst all of their other delicious foods. Everything we got was a 10/10. We would visit a lot more if we were closer.

It was a nice night out and the place is very beautiful. The waitresses are super nice. Food was fine (had better in Morocco but it is still decent). It would deserve a bit more organisation, we asked multiple times to have tea while having the main meal but unfortunately we got tea after finishing our meal. We could also feel the tension due to the rush of Ramadan. However, I believe that it comes from nice intention to give the best services that’s why my overall impression is good.

Salon Mogador in Montreal offers an authentic Moroccan dining experience. The restaurant’s cozy and elegant decor sets the perfect ambiance. I had Tajine and some of their tapas, absolutely delicious . Service is exceptional, with staff who are knowledgeable and passionate about Moroccan cuisine. Don’t miss the traditional sweets and mint tea for dessert. In short, Salon Mogador is a must-visit for its amazing food, charming atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommended!

I am moroccan myself and brought my family in law to taste moroccan food, with the intention everyone will taste a bit of everything. First the decoration is nice authentic and felt like when I was a kid back in morocco. The service well... the waiter was nice but forgot the bread, forgot plates but he was really really nice. The harira arrived extremely cold, he told us "oupps... micro-onde" I was chocked ... dude why did you say microwave in front of everyone lolll. Then the food arrived tajines of each sort.. not much space but we made it.. We were litterally on a quest to find meat on the bones lolll. The sauce was good , good ingredients but no meat... guys one recommendation make your tajine 4$ more and get MORE MEAT in it loll. The chicken wasnt even breast it was only thicks of the chicken...Unfortunately not much moroccan desert, it suck but hey the moroccan tea was fade and not even sweet, no taste. :-) he told us the mint came from Sami Fruit... really nawwww !! I still liked the experience but no this place isnt the best sorry....dont think you ate there and you got real moroccan dishes. Try the meridional or rumy... they have MEAT and tastyyy more pricey but damn you...

Definitely the best Moroccan food and dining experience I've ever had! I grew up in France and one of the things I've missed most was the Moroccan food. I was hoping to have a nice time being able to enjoy the food again. This went above and beyond expectations. The atmosphere and design were perfect with low seating, tokens from Moroccan, and warm lighting. Our waitress was lovely, allowing us to switch between French and English. She, and the chef, who waved us in and was likely the manager or owner, made us feel welcome despite not having a reservation (which would be wise to get if you'd like to ensure you have a spot). The food, Vegetable Tagine for me, was perfect, with so much flavor and spice. Another member of my party got the traditional couscous which was also fantastic. The mint tea rounded off a fabulous culinary experience. Absolutely everything was perfect and this was my favorite restaurant...

Lamb tagine with vegetables arrived MISSING THE LAMB and with COLD VEGETABLES. In second attempt, vegetables arrived streaming but lamb was lukewarm at best (DESPITE STEAMING, SOME VEGETABLES TASTED OFF - SIMPLY REHEATED). We declined a third attempt. Manager offered to take it off the bill. We ordered mint tea after the meal. Manager brought tea with three small pieces of baklava for each of us. We hadn't ordered dessert, didn't really want or need it, but ate some anyway to try it and took a few pieces for take away because we couldn't even finish it. When the bill arrived both tagines were included. When the second bill arrived the desserts we hadn't ordered were included. We cut our losses, paid the bill and left. Not impressed that they tried to recoup their losses on THEIR MISTAKES by over-charging us for things we hadn't ordered. WILL NOT...
