The food was good. The service was not so. We ordered muscle with marinara sause, but they brought in the muscle with white wine sause. When I ask about the dish, the waitress said their marinara sauce is white. Go figure... We didn't want to make a scene so we just accept and took the food. We saw table next to us ordered some sort of salad and looked good, so we asked what kind of salad that was. One of the waitresses said it was a tataki tuna salad, but when the dish came out, that was different then what we saw from the table next to us. We asked about this as well, however, the waitress serving our table didn't understand what the issue was. Again, we end up just taking the dish. When the waitress brought the check, they charged additional $1 then the price they out on the wall with the menu. When asked, the waitress brought the menu plate which showed different price compared to the one noted on the wall. I would say the right way to handle was to honor the price on the wall and correct the check, but the waitress did not. To be fair, when we were leaving after paying the full price, seemed owner offer to give back $1, but I think it was too late. They need to train their waitresses for the food they are serving, and to get customer...
Read moreSince you’re already in the mount royal avenue, go elsewhere. I asked the waitress to give the sweetest drink and she gave me tequila in a glass. My dates drink taste like water. Speaking of water, they never served us any. The food was weird, my date’s veggie pasta was bland and my chicken sandwich had way too much going on and this is coming from someone that eats a lot of chicken sandwiches.
In all fairness, we arrived at 11:30 and sat outside. The waitress told us its her last call so she made us pay in advance. That is no excuse for rushing our drinks and never bringing us water. I’m giving this experience a 2/10. The points are for the fast service with the food, we waited about 5 minutes.
This may be a harsh review, but it’s for the better. Go to literally any other restaurant on this street. Some recommendations would be Kinton Ramen and L’entrepôt. L’entrepôt has a similar vibe as this restaurant but with more unique drinks, cheaper but tastier food and good...
Read moreI walked here with my dog over Mt. Royal. We were both hot, tired and thirsty. Our waiter immediately came out and was kind to us all, brought a bowl of water for my dog and then took care of us. All in perfect English even though this is a largely French speaking area so good place for tourists. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was perfect. Two charred patties, properly melted cheese, well seasoned beef and (a pet peeve of mine) very well constructed bun so the whole thing holds together and doesn’t slide all around and make a mess of your hands. Great service throughout and they have Partake (non-alcoholic beer-the IPA which IMHO is the best one) available along with a few other non-alcoholic options as well, of course, as a slate of real beer. Great place to stop, people watch and enjoy the carnival that is Mt Royal avenue on a...
