Kinton Ramen: A Reliable Go-To for Comforting Bowls 🍜🔥
Not my first time here, and definitely won’t be my last! Kinton Ramen continues to impress with its rich broths, fresh ingredients, and solid portion sizes—a must-visit spot for ramen lovers in Montreal.
🌟 What Makes It Great?
✅ Delicious, Well-Balanced Broth – The pork broth is hands-down the best, richer and more flavorful compared to the chicken and vegetarian options. Yet to try the beef, but looking forward to it! 🐷🔥 ✅ Fast & Friendly Service – Great for a quick lunch break—I was served my ramen super fast, making it a perfect workday meal. ⏳🍜 ✅ Affordable & Generous Portions – One of the most budget-friendly ramen spots in Montreal, especially considering the big portions and customization options. Around $30 gets you a hearty ramen with extra toppings and a side of spicy karaage—great value! 💰👌 ✅ Gyoza & Tokyo Fries Are a Must-Try – The gyoza were crispy and flavorful, paired with a tasty dipping sauce, while the Tokyo Fries were a surprisingly fun and delicious side! 🍟🥟
🔸 A Few Small Downsides
⚠️ Stool Seating Isn’t for Everyone – The ambiance is nice, but the seating style might not be the most comfortable if you prefer traditional chairs. ⚠️ Popular Location = Can Get Crowded – Finding a spot can be tricky at peak hours, but if you visit during lunch, it’s much calmer and more enjoyable.
🚀 Final Verdict: One of the Best Ramen Spots in Town!
This Kinton Ramen location is my favorite and ranks as my 3rd favorite ramen in Montreal overall. The Miso Pork Ramen is my go-to, and I love adding mushrooms and a side of spicy karaage.
If you’re looking for great ramen at a reasonable price, this place is a solid choice. I’ll definitely be back! 🍜🔥

Ramen was very low quality. Some of the toppings weren't cooked and they tasted like they were straight out of the refrigerator. I barely ate my ramen because I wanted to get a refund. The server took maybe 20 minutes to come back to me so I was sitting there waiting, hungry for 20 minute for her to come back. So when I finally got her attention, I told her I didn't like it. She took that ramen away, and tried to charge me the full amount. When I spoke up and explained to her that I didn't expect it on the bill, she said she could only give me 10% off.
It was just an awkward experience not really that good, and I hate that I wasted my money here . If you're gonna eat here anyway, lower your expectations. By a lo.
Also: asked for the Wi-Fi password because there was a network that said KRR guest, and when I asked the server about it, she said oh we don't have Wi-Fi . I also asked her if the chicken was seasoned and she told me yes just for the chicken to come out...
Read moreI can’t comment on the food because we never ate there. When we went it was a rainy night, area was fairly empty and the restaurant was at about 35% capacity. We were 6 people. There were two young girls waitressing. They informed us the ‘back was closed’ and they could not seat us. There were 3 tables seated there and 3 empty tables directly next to them. They simply refused to seat us at one of the tables next to the already seated diners. They informed us ‘the section was closed and if they made an exception for us they would have to make an exception for everyone.’ First, I don’t know who ‘everyone’ was as the area was dead due to the rain. Second, it was 7:30pm on a Saturday night, don’t you want to make that exception to accommodate guests and fill the restaurant? This was clearly a case of two young girls who either simply didn’t want to work or couldn’t independently think to do what was best for the business. This was not a situation of being short staffed, etc. as I would be very...
