Too lazy to make a pot of coffee and they put me at risk by serving diluted caffeinated coffee and claiming it was decaf :(
I order decaf filtered coffee at this location almost every day. Tonight I arrived later than usual: it was almost 10pm. I ordered the coffee on the app and the payment was processed.
When I arrived inside, a young female employee told me that unfortunately they had no decaf, and they weren't going to be able to make a fresh pot since they were closing in 1 hour, and they had already cleaned the machine. I found that a bit surprising since they have an all-night drive-thru, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt.
She offered me a regular coffee, to which I responded: if they couldn't get me a decaf, just reimburse me.
She then went to speak to her colleagues about the situation. One minute later, she went to the coffee machine behind the counter and filled an empty cup with hot water. She took the cup of hot water and walked to the drive-thru window where they keep pots of coffee to serve to drive-thru clients.
One minute after that, one of her colleagues approached me, asked me if I wanted the decaf black, and handed me a cup of coffee. Which makes absolutely no sense, because the girl had told me just a few minutes prior that they had no decaf and would not be making a pot. I could clearly see that they didn't make a fresh pot because the coffee maker is behind the counter. On top of that, by the taste of the coffee, it was clearly not fresh.
So what they must have done is added that cup of hot water to a pot of regular coffee to dilute it, and then claim it was decaf.
FAIL 1 : They couldn't just make a fresh pot of decaf. Re-cleaning that machine takes literally 1 minute (I know from having worked in restaurants).
FAIL 2 : They chose to lie to me and give me diluted caffeinated coffee rather than reimburse me.
FAIL 3 : Complete disregard for a client's potential health issues. I've been concerned about the condition of my heart for the last 1-2 years, which is part of the reason I order decaf. If something does happen to me as a result of consuming this coffee, I won't hesitate to take legal action against this McDonalds...
Read moreWent by the drive thru yesterday 11-7-20, and order 2 coffees. The car in front of us they used this long tray to give the coffee to him, then it was our turn. As I was watching the person making our coffees I totally freaked and this is how they did it. First, she had no gloves on, she took the 1 cup by shoving her fingers in the cup to pull it out from the stack and did the same for the second cup. As she's holding the cups again with her fingers inside the cup, she adds the sugar and milk. Then placed the cups on the counter and added the coffee. Then placed the covers on top as she pressed to close lid with her fingers. Now her full hand is on top of the cover, she took a coffee tray and placed both coffees in it by holding them from the lid. We told her that we didn't want the tray but she pushed the coffee tray on to us and closed the window. We could have taken the coffees without the tray, just like the person in front of us. Now not because of the current situation, but this is basics restaurant training. YOU JUST don't put your fingers in other people's cup, glass or plate etc… and because of the current situation they should have gotten better training. Then I called to speak to the manager and I was brushed off by her also. Am I going back? Nope not for a very long time. Next time, I'll take an extra 5 minutes at home and make...

Me and my boyfriend just went to the drive through and literally got the barbecue sauce thrown at our faces after we told the young boy working there, may 6-7 at 12:30 am 2018, that it was nonsense that they were charging us 65 cents for a barbicue sauce. The boy took our complaint the wrong way and was witholding our order when we had just paid for it and continued on arguing with more and more attitude until he finally threw the sauces in the car. They opened all over us and all the way to my window of the passenger seat.
Further more, they got our order wrong prior to this. I never experienced such poor service and I have always gone to this McDonald’s and others and by far this one is the worst sericed McDonald’s there is in Montreal.
This boy should lose his job for the lack of professionalism and lack of respect he has towards people. They should also hire more competent and willing employees. I am definitely calling the manager tomorrow to make a complaint about this...
