My recent visit to Louies Steak House in Nelson, BC was an absolute delight from start to finish. This gem of a restaurant exceeded all expectations and left me with an unforgettable dining experience on my Birthday.

First and foremost, I must applaud the remarkable staff at Louies. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and accommodating, making sure that every aspect of my dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. Their passion for excellent service truly shines through, and I felt like a valued guest throughout the entire evening.

The kitchen at Louies Steak House deserves nothing less than five stars. The quality of the food was outstanding, and each dish was prepared with evident skill and finesse. The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. The menu offered a diverse selection of mouthwatering options, catering to all tastes and preferences. Whether you're a carnivore or a vegetarian, Louies has something to delight your palate.

Moreover, the ambiance of the dining room at Louies was second to none. The décor was tastefully elegant, creating an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The dimmed lighting and well-appointed tables added a touch of sophistication to the overall experience.

Not only does Louies deliver on taste and atmosphere, but they also pay great attention to detail. The presentation of each dish was a work of art, showcasing the chef's creativity and passion for culinary excellence.

To sum it up, Louies Steak House is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience. The staff, kitchen, and dining room atmosphere combine seamlessly to create a truly exceptional restaurant that leaves a lasting impression. I cannot wait to return and savor more of their delectable offerings. Bravo to the entire team at Louies for making my evening...

Went for my birthday dinner and did not disappoint. All the food from start to finish was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The Prime Shires yorkshire puddings were crisp on the outside and nice and soft on the interior, the prime rib was well seasoned and the au jus was almost a gravy consistency. The Ribeye (blackened) was cooked to perfection and well seasoned with a nice crust. I added the garlic prawns and they were very good as well making it a poor man's surf and turf, you do have an option to add lobster. I decided to try the Mac and Cheese and it was some of the best I've ever had I think there was a bit of lobster or crab in it which was a pleasant surprise and it came with garlic toast. To finish it all off I had the keylime pie which is not overly sweet but just right to let the lime have the spotlight, since it was for my birthday they did cover the cost of dessert which was great of them because I didn't ask for it to be covered so that was a nice surprise. Overall if you feel like splurging a bit for dinner you can't go wrong with Louie's, they have a great selection of food and drinks to fit...

We decided on Louis for our 43rd anniversary dinner with a few friends. We were treated to excellent service by a few great young ladies, all quite helpful and professional. We began with a few appetizers: the mussels, steamed with garlic, shallots and heavy cream were delicious. The baked bri in filo pastry was a bit heavy as the filo was not quite cooked. Two of our party had ribs which were satisfactory although seemed to be covered in a commercial sauce. Unfortunately the prosciutto and pear pizza was not quite edible; the toppings were very limited and the famed crust was doughy to the point of rawness. The Wild Mushroom Puttanesca; the noodles were very good and the mushroom sauce would have been excellent however the dish was completely devoid of any base flavour including tasty oils and/or spice. Perhaps it was just an off night in the kitchen but my hope is that on our next visit the chefs will...

Haven't had food this good in months maybe even years down in the states. Have had problems with cheap and expensive restaurants every time I dine out. Here two nights in a row were perfect and went above our expectations. 3 meals both nights, perfect quality, steak was done to our request, amazing taste, one of the best steaks I've ever had. Mashed potatoes, even though it's a simple dish, were amazing, also some of the best I've ever had easily topping all other places. Servers and who I suspect to be a manager or maybe even the owner were awesome, very friendly, didn't miss a single thing at all both nights. I'm not usually up for talking while eating, but both nights we had great conversations. Overall everything was amazing, not a single complaint, props to the small town steakhouse! Was not expecting such amazing service and food when we can't even get a decent meal in our big city!

The food was gross! We ordered prime rib and received deli roast beef, yuck! I seriously was disgusted, and on top of that the ribs were a pre made sauce smother and the honey mustard was also something from a burger joint....I don't expect to pay 3+ times what I get ( which is better) from a burger shack....check your menu, and what you offer because it sucks! And is disgusting anyway, all the luck 🤞 I'm pretty sure prime rib is on your menu, give it a read ...like I said, you don't even know what your serving! It's my opinion of your food and you don't get to say it's fake, I assure you. Also @Rob, if you don't serve prime Rib, than why do you offer "Prime shires" or prime rib filled Yorkshire pudding?
