Read moreWent for my birthday dinner and did not disappoint. All the food from start to finish was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The Prime Shires yorkshire puddings were crisp on the outside and nice and soft on the interior, the prime rib was well seasoned and the au jus was almost a gravy consistency. The Ribeye (blackened) was cooked to perfection and well seasoned with a nice crust. I added the garlic prawns and they were very good as well making it a poor man's surf and turf, you do have an option to add lobster. I decided to try the Mac and Cheese and it was some of the best I've ever had I think there was a bit of lobster or crab in it which was a pleasant surprise and it came with garlic toast. To finish it all off I had the keylime pie which is not overly sweet but just right to let the lime have the spotlight, since it was for my birthday they did cover the cost of dessert which was great of them because I didn't ask for it to be covered so that was a nice surprise. Overall if you feel like splurging a bit for dinner you can't go wrong with Louie's, they have a great selection of food and drinks to fit...
Read moreWe decided on Louis for our 43rd anniversary dinner with a few friends. We were treated to excellent service by a few great young ladies, all quite helpful and professional. We began with a few appetizers: the mussels, steamed with garlic, shallots and heavy cream were delicious. The baked bri in filo pastry was a bit heavy as the filo was not quite cooked. Two of our party had ribs which were satisfactory although seemed to be covered in a commercial sauce. Unfortunately the prosciutto and pear pizza was not quite edible; the toppings were very limited and the famed crust was doughy to the point of rawness. The Wild Mushroom Puttanesca; the noodles were very good and the mushroom sauce would have been excellent however the dish was completely devoid of any base flavour including tasty oils and/or spice. Perhaps it was just an off night in the kitchen but my hope is that on our next visit the chefs will...
