After looking thru their online menu; I Ordered from here for the first time this evening.
Per their online menu posted:
Paneer Pakora - $6
Butter chicken- $15
Chicken Biryani - $14
The women answering the phone to take the order rushed my call, despite me trying to ask a question related to dietary allergies.
Polite interaction from the man at the cash when I went in to pick up my order - UNTIL - I looked at the receipt.
This showed the Paneer Pakora at $9.
I said their website shows the price at $6.
He said to show him. I pulled up their website and online menu on my phone where it clearly states the price of the Paneer Pakora at $6.
He said that was the old price.
Showed me a take out menu that was on their counter that has the new, updated printed price at $9.
I advised, they should be honoring the online price. He went to the back to speak to the manager. He came out and said, the price is $9.
I said, you should be honoring the price from your online menu. As a customer, that's not my issue your website has the old price.
His resolution was to say, they would be updating the online menu price.
Nothing offered to appease their customer.
I removed the Pakoras from my order.
The matter of dispute at that point wasn't even the $3 difference in price, yet sheer principal of where is the courtesy gone for customers in today's service industry if valuing their business and wanting to offer a pleasant experience.
The chicken biryani and the butter chicken were delicious and extremely flavorful, HOWEVER, as a first time experience, can't say I would go back!
A simple gesture of honoring your online pricing, could have saved a customer and prevented a negative...
