Such a disappointing birthday. I decided to have my sons 7th birthday here and got exactly what I paid for. I booked the party and the process for that was relatively simple, how many guests, what time, what I should expect the day of. It all seemed like it would go over smoothly, I was excited to have a stress free party for once. I will never again have a party here or reccomend that anyone else host their party here. My fiance arrived before me and found the door to the party room locked. Once I arrived, I found him and our guests sitting at the tables locked out. I went to the counter to speak to someone, but was being ignored by the staff. After about 5 minutes of standing at the cash register, I finally went over to where they hand out the orders and let the young woman there know that we were here for a party. A manager (who told me he wasnt the manager for this particular location) approached me and stated that I was mistaken and that I was probably at the wrong location. I asked my fiance to go to our car and get the paperwork from the time of booking and the receipt to show the manager that I was not mistaken. He then left to the back room and sent an employee named McKenzie to deal with us. She was extremely helpful, polite and seemed genuinely apologetic about our situation. The manager asked if there was a cake that we wanted to store in their fridge, but their party package is supposed to provide a cake. I explained this to him and he again fought with me stating I was mistaken again, I had a copy of the brochure and showed him that the party was supposed to come with a cake and loot bag. Our party was supposed to begin at 430 and end at 6, we didn't get into the room until 515. When I was taking the kids orders, which was supposed to be their job, the manager was being extremely rude punching the orders in as I read them out to him. I was doing my best to remain calm about their unorganized behavior, but this manager was seriously testing my limits (even the other mothers there wanted to say something to him about his work). I was so embarrassed during this whole process as I tried to make this special for my son and guests were looking to me to give them answers about what was going on. We never received the loot bags for the kids, and when they were serving the cake, they brought out just a few slices for almost 12 kids and their parents. I was told that if I wanted more, I'd have to ask for it. I can't say enough about how awful this whole process was. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster of anger, annoyance, embarrassment and confusion. The manager was never apologetic about the situation, did not offer any help and said if I had an issue, to take it up with...
Read moreWhen you call they pick up and then hang up. Condiment stand was unstocked and a mess. Asked for vinegar and she gave me mcchicken sauce. I could deal with all of that but this is completely unacceptable: there is no seating area in the play place (even though there is room for 6 tables), so the kids are unsupervised. There is a sign saying "Children must be supervised at all times." Even though staff and management are clearly aware that the children in here are never supervised because the parents don't have anywhere to sit and eat. There were 4 families of kids in the play place but I was the only parent, since I decided to sit and eat on top of the air hockey table because the safety of my child is more important to me than decorum. Another safety hazard to the children coming to this McDonald's is the fact that the door to the play place does not shut properly, making it very easy for small, unsupervised children to escape, go out the door to the parking lot and be victims of who knows what. Plus, the place on the sign that says "this play equipment is designed to hold a maximum of _ children" is blank so no one knows how many children can safely play here. Also, the interior of the climbing structure is filthy, covered in smears and dirt and sand. Makes me question how often, if ever it is cleaned to prevent the spread of illness. Finally, the bottom of a slide is too short so kids end up flying out and hitting the floor. When you add it all together it equals a location that is in dire need of new owners or management before someone gets injured. I genuinely hope that the safety issues are corrected as soon...
Read moreI went to the McDonald's location at 6348 Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls and would like to file a complaint. Firstly, I spend $20-$40 every week at McDonald's. I am a loyal customer. Yesterday, I took my wife there for a night out. The main reason we went was for McDonald's Monopoly. Despite the fact that it ended November 5, when we ordered on November 8, the banners were still up on the interior, outside it was still being featured front and center, and McDonald's Monopoly was still being advertised everywhere around the store. Come to find out, AFTER we paid for our food and AFTER we received our food and noticed there were no stickers, the customer service rep explained to us that the Monopoly promotion expired November 5. When we asked them why the banners were still up, they did not have an answer. We would probably not have ordered $25+ worth of food this night if you did not have the Monopoly promotion. My wife was really looking forward to it. You've disappointed my family and we feel like we wasted our money on marketing that did not measure up in product. Secondly, they got my order wrong. I ordered a Double Big Mac and got a single Big Mac. I only found this out after we got home and after I returned our car rental, with no way to get back to your McDonald's location to correct the order. I am supremely disappointed that you got my order wrong, used marketing in a deceitful way to borderline steal from my family, and that no manager or customer service representative offered to...
