Atmosphere: The restaurant was empty when I walked in (lunch time on a Thursday), the lights in the dining room were turned off and seemed like it was closed, and the heat was turned down, I asked for the heat to be turned up a little as it was a little chilly.
As for the table setting, there was a basket with soy sauce, and a salt and pepper shaker. The cutlery laid out was a knife and fork on a napkin, I would have preferred a pair of chopsticks, but considering the location it's understandable.
Food: The food tasted like cheap Chinese take out.
Sweet and sour chicken balls: Very doughy and consisted of barely any chicken.
Chicken and mixed veggie: Steamed Broccoli, Carrots, Chinese radish, Bok Choy and Chicken, tossed in soy sauce and sesame oil. The vegetables were cooked well and tasted fresh, however there were only 2 small pieces of chicken and the dish was under seasoned.
Chicken Fried Rice: Tasted like generic Chinese take out, once again this dish skimped out on the chicken, and left much to be desired.
Egg Roll: Taste like a frozen egg roll that you can find in any grocery store, not much to expand on here.
All in all, I would not recommend this place, unless there are some...
Read moreOur first time at this restaurant. Nice to see the poster saying the rest has recently passed all inspections hanging just outside the door of this fairly simple restaurant.
The waitress was lovely. There was only one other gentleman in the restaurant when we arrived, another couple arrived shortly thereafter. A number of take outs happened as well.
We ordered egg rolls, beef with green peppers and black bean sauce, pan fried noodles (speciality item on back of menu), and sesame chicken.
Egg rolls were done very well and arrived promptly. The other dishes were all very good , good quantities for the two of us. The sesame chicken was my fav, but all was very good.
Our only complaint is that the plates did not arrive together, there was a lot of time between the plates. We like to eat iur eggrolls as appetizers, but then like all the other dishes together.
The waitress was very pleasant, saying this dish or that was her fav and stopped to see which one we liked the best.. she was good.
The meal was $55 including taxes and one ice tea. We brought home a take out for lunch tomorrow.
We will certainly...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at Lee's China Garden recently. It's a quaint little restaurant with just a few tables. We were greeted and served immediately. The restaurant was a tad chilly, so be sure to bring a sweater. We had the dinner for three and side of sesame chicken. The meal came with three egg rolls, chicken chow mien, chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, beef with mixed vegetables and fortune cookies. The chicken fried rice and egg roll are by far the best in town. All the meat was incredibly tender and vegetables crispy and fresh. The sauces were light and delightful. The portions were very generous and each dish was served when ready, which kept everything warm and fresh. We recommend this place and will return...
