Moose's Cookhouse — Restaurant in North Bay

So myself husband sister and brother in law went there Friday for supper and I cannot say how unimpressed I was right from the start. Our waitress was training someone (and in all honesty she didn't know what she was doing let alone train another person) she asked us what we would like to drink we gave our order. My sister In law asked for a black Russian. So off went our waitress. 10 mins later she get our drinks but asked my sister in law what was in a black russian(shouldn't you already know??) So off again waiting yet another 10 mins to come back to tell us she didn't have the stuff to make the black Russian. Okay.. so she gets a Shot of tequila another 10 min wait. Once she brings the shot we ordered. Everything is order great right. Cool we wait for our food almost 40 mins. Food comes and we started eating until I looked at my wings. I got garlic parmesan and they were drowning in sauce, like watered down sauce. The guy that serves us was walking by my brother in law said excuse me but is this how my sister in laws wings should look. He was embarrassed he said oh my no they should not they are absolutely horrible looking. The waitress didn't even come check on us at all. Not once. The guy brought me a new batch of wings and apologized. When the waitress came once we were done eating and asked we were. My brother in law said I hope you didn't get in trouble for the wings but they were not prepared correctly her response. I'm just the waitress so it's not my fault. Wow, nice. We have been there many times and always had excellent service and food was amazing that night both service and food was not enjoyable at all. Probably won't be...

The first observation was a lack of nutritional values or calories on their menus, never thought it would matter to me but it did. No healthy alternatives. We use to eat there all the time then the gap of going has increased and the experience we had reminded me why. They forgot about the food in the oven (waitress forgot about our order) and we spent two hours waiting for food, my legs were numb drinking coffee after coffee that I paid for. The menu has little to get excited about and the place has lost it atmosphere with poorly trained staff, this was a prime summer weekend and the place was virtually empty and they still mismanaged the few that show up. They reduced our bill by 6+ dollars approx the amount I left for a tip. The food had fresh veggies but was under cooked and the pizza was like a 5.00 Caesar pizza also not hot but warm. Food was salty and portions very limited. We made the mistake of waiting for this food and left around 9:30 or so. We ate it as this was our supper. By the time we got home the night was gone. We wasted our money and time for really generic cafeteria food. The real problem is the lack of management on duty to keep staff focus being so slow to pay attention to customers. We made the mistake before tying to experience the place like we used to every time someone would visit us. Someone is milking this business for profit while driving it into the ground. No one to blame for 90% of the seats empty (on a Saturday night) but themselves.

THIS RESTAURANT IS BEYOND ITS BEST...

Been coming here since the 90’s. Unfortunately the standards here just keep going down. If there’s something wrong with your order there’s little to nothing that they’ll do about it. The last few times the wings have come out cold or they brought out the wrong flavours. If you’re hoping they’ll correct the issue and get you hot food and the actual flavours you ordered, they won’t. There’s clearly an issue with the kitchen staff, and the servers won’t do anything but offer you a side dipping sauce or take a few dollars off your bill. I’d rather have the food I ordered come out correct instead of a few dollars off a $100 bill. They will not take the food and away and get you what you ordered. In other words, the Moose isn’t in the business of fixing their mistakes, whatever you get it’s yours and they won’t correct it. The last 2 times none of the food that was wrong was eaten, they took it away and we still paid for it, minus the few bucks they credited the $100 bill. Nobody wants a few dollars off their order, they want what they ordered and it to be at least warm when it comes to the table. This place has lost its touch.
