A Must-Visit Spot for Ice Cream Lovers! I had a wonderful experience at Dolce Amore in North Vancouver. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the vibrant, modern vibe of the place — it is stylish, hip, and full of good energy. The customer service was exceptional. Every staff member was kind and welcoming, and a special shout-out goes to Nickie, whose genuine smile and patient, helpful attitude made the visit even more enjoyable. Now, the ice cream… absolutely delicious! I tried the Pistachio and Akbar Mashti, and both were phenomenal. The Akbar Mashti especially transported me straight back to my childhood visits to ice cream shops in Tehran — the taste was authentic, floral, and rich with nostalgia. Highly recommend this spot if you are looking for a sweet treat, great atmosphere, and top-notch service. I will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the Pistachio Padrino and Almond Joy gelatos in one cup! They are both dense in texture, very milky (less cream) and tasty - indeed classic qualities of an authentic Italian gelato! Our first time to visit and was very impressed. Fortunate to savor famous gelato brands in Italy (Venice, and Florence) before like Grom and La Carraia, and Dolce Amore does not disappoint! Shop looks distinctively fantastic, with a ton of exciting and innovative flavors to choose from! We love how they classify the Mafia flavor families! They grab your attention and puts a smile in your face!! Staff are genuinely cheerful and friendly, which entices you to interact and come back for more! Dolce Amore (which means "Sweet Love") is a real treat and a precious find!

Stumbled on this place by accident when we were looking for a dessert place in North Vancouver and it turned out to be a great find. They have a lot of gelato flavors to choose from and some cookies and cheesecakes too. The gelato were delicious and creamy, the service was quick, the staff were very nice. The space was quite small and only have few seating area but it is a great place to hangout. We ordered Blueberry Cheesecake. It was good and quite a big serving, we shared it. We also ordered the Tiramisu which was delicious too. I wanted to try the cookie, which was so far the biggest cookie I’ve seen sold in most cafe. The gelato was nice, we got the small cup which happens to be 2 scoops that are really compact and filled. Worth the price.

This shop has been our family's absolute favorite ice cream place. We've been coming countless times since last year, and it's the only place our child insists on getting ice cream from, especially after dental appointments when that's all they can eat.

However, after two weekday visits within the last month, a female staff member's attitude was so unpleasant that we're unsure if we'll visit in person again. It's okay not to have a constant smile when serving customers; it's not required. But her expressionless face and curt, one-word answers when we asked questions felt incredibly cold. The way she seemed to glare or give side-eye before and after payment felt very sharp and hostile, leaving us quite taken aback. After leaving the shop, our whole family discussed how uncomfortable it made us feel.

This happened during both of our last two visits when this particular female staff member was working. On the first visit, she was alone. On the second, she was there with a male staff member. The first time, we were quite unsettled but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe she was just having a bad day. However, experiencing the same unpleasantness from her on the second visit made us feel we should mention it to the shop. (The male staff member, by the way, was very friendly. Thank you.)

We will continue to order from this shop via DoorDash in the future (because the ice cream truly is delicious - seems like the best in town!), but we likely won't be walking in to buy it anymore because of this female staff member.

We don't know if she is an owner or just staff, but if her coldness was something our whole family experienced not just once, but twice, perhaps some feedback or correction could be beneficial for both her...

Been here once when they opened up in the neighbourhood and bought an ice cream bar and an Oreo cheesecake. It was just ok. Back again much later and wanted to give their gelato a try.

Upon entering the store, straight away the girl at the cashier told us we have to pay first as we were checking out their flavors, after clarifying with her we’d like to have a look before making a decision, she again told us we have to pay first, we told her we aren’t sure if we’d like any yet, please allow us to have a look, and was finally able to have a look in peace.

We were curious about two flavors and wanted to try a sample, so we asked one of the two girls behind the counter, she happily agreed. As she was asking us about which flavors we’d like to try, the third girl behind the counter rudely interrupted and said to us/her ‘you need a ticket first’ accompanied with an eye roll and walked away.

I’m not sure what we have done to deserve such disrespectful treatment. Was it perhaps we wanted to have a look at their selection? Or because we didn’t pay them ~$5 before we requested a sample?

One would hope that a neighborhood ice cream shop would offer a warm, welcoming and pleasant experience for all. This stark, cold, and crude business is...

I was excited to try this new gelato shop for the first time; however I will NOT be returning.

The good: It is made with mostly organic ingredients which is why I picked this specific gelato shop in the first place. The scoops are huge! The staff were very courteous and they let me try almost all the flavours.

Now the bad: The reason I had to try almost all the flavours was because everything was waaay too sweet. Especially the fruity flavours, which are supposed to taste like fruits not fruit-flavoured sugar. I know it’s gelato, but the fruits should be the main flavour ingredient, not sugar! They make you pay before you try, so despite not being able to find a flavour that I liked, I felt like I had to settle for whatever, since I had already paid for 2 scoops. The disappointing part was that even though the staff saw I didn’t like any of the flavours I tried (and as I said, I tried almost all of them) they didn’t offer a refund and made me feel like I just had to settle for something that I didn’t like.

I was excited to find my new favourite gelato shop, unfortunately this one is not it and I will not be coming back.

If you like EXTRA SWEET gelato, this is the...
