Quiznos — Restaurant in Oakville

There was a time (as the old song goes) that you could expect a decent - nay, a FANTASTIC sandwich from Quiznos. They were the only joint around who toasted their subs, and they offered fantastic variety like guacamole and delicious hot peppers. Well, no use living in the past anymore, like so many others who have come and fallen before them, Quiznos is now crap. Just crap. There are so many ways in which this chain has slowly circled the drain, but I will pick out one specific detail which (I believe) sums up the modern crappy Quiznos experience. Used to be, when you ordered a Turkey Bacon Guac sandwich, there was a very realistic expectation that the food you would be served would - at the very LEAST - have those exact same ingredients on it... turkey, bacon, and guacamole. And while the modern version does indeed have turkey deli-meat and a synthetic-tasting "guacamole" on it, I think I can safely say "that's not bacon". Instead of bacon, they now put on this fatty, gristle-y little drops of pork product, the same type that you might find in cheaper pizza joints. God only knows how it's manufactured - I shudder at the very thought - but it's simply not bacon. It's a pork product of some sort, I imagine, but it's not bacon. It's chewy and salty and nothing but fat and grossness.... but it's not bacon. So Quiznos, I urge you to rename this sandwich "Turkey-Pork-Product-of-undetermined-origin-And-Guac". At least then your unsuspecting customers might know what they're getting into when they shell out NO SMALL AMOUNT OF MONEY...

I used to eat here as a kid so wanted to go back and see if it would hit home and it wasn't as good as i remember although it did remind me alot of what I remembered! The ingredients didn't seem fresh. And wasn't as easy to change things about the sandwich I would have liked to add different sauces like subway and as felt like there was a language barrier as the one lady Makin my sandwich didn't speak English as she would speak a different language and ask the other Lady working to then translate what I said. I was worried my order would be wrong but it was what we asked for. I wouldn't go back just because i can't customize my sandwich the...

Many years after seeing one of Dinosaur Quiznos, I understand why they are mostly out of business. The loud and annoying makes placing an order nearly impossible. The place is HOT and loud with NO or VERY little AC, the place isn't clean and the staff unfriendly and unhelpful. I ll never go back ! Quiznos was at one time much better... whay happened to the old concept of greeting and Thanking your customers ! In a world innondated by Fast Food restaurants ??? Looking around here from my car! I see at least 20 other options for some sort of healthy wannabe...
