Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House — Restaurant in Oakville

Service and atmosphere was great, but I was disappointed with my order. I ordered a breakfast wrap with smashed avocado expecting it to be fresh- it was not. Instead it appeared to be some kind of previously frozen prepackaged slop which really ruined my day. In addition, the eggs in the wrap had no seasoning… which was probably the worst of it all. I paid like 4$ extra for hollandaise and cheddar on my home fries expecting that the cheddar would have been all melty and nice under the salamander but instead it was shedded cold cheddar from the fridge thrown on top of warm hollandaise. Disgusting. . All of this seems like more of a chain wide issue with menu creation rather than the individual location. It’s just disappointing when you’re expecting something delicious from the menu description … but end up not satisfied with what you receive. I didn’t send anything back because I was with an impatient 5 year old. And the staff was very kind and friendly and I didn’t want to make a scene and make anyone uncomfortable because it was minor issues with the food. I would go back again but order something different and perhaps ask more questions for clarification on the menu items and I would ask specifically for my eggs to have salt...

I visited the restaurant more than once, and while my overall experience was enjoyable, it came with a few mixed elements.

First and foremost, the service was truly excellent. The staff were warm, attentive, and clearly cared about making guests feel comfortable. Our server checked in just the right amount — helpful without being intrusive — and handled requests with professionalism and genuine friendliness.

As for the food, everything tasted decent and was cooked well enough, but there were a few inconsistencies between the menu descriptions and what was served. For instance, one dish promised “three eggs,” but what arrived was more like a modest scoop of scrambled egg (picture) — far from what you’d picture based on the description. It’s little details like that that left the impression of a kitchen that might slightly overpromise on paper.

That said, the atmosphere was pleasant, the prices were good and fair, and the staff really made the experience feel worthwhile. If you’re looking for a spot with great service and a relaxed vibe, and you’re not too hung up on precise menu expectations, I’d still recommend giving this place a try. Just go in with a bit of flexibility when it comes to portions...

just had brunch today here with some friends and my experience was nothing short of amazing, Hazel gave our table amazing service and created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere , and made our entire experience so much better . With the heat wave at hand , she was extra accommodating with providing us with fresh water which I was absolutely astounded by. Ayet's recommendations from the menu were like the cherry on top , providing the table with recommendations fit for our tastebuds needs, especially as many of us had not been to a Stacked before . She helped me pick out the chicken and waffles, which I found to be a wonderful combination of sweet and savoury, and was just what I needed to kickstart my day . Overall such a wonderful experience and definitely the spot in Oakville to go for all your brunch needs, props to these two young ladies for making our experience just that...
