If your reading this thinking about going, stop reading and go. If you don't like it contact me and I'll buy your items off you. This place is a rare gem, very much an artesian bakery. Ive been here twice already, sorry I didn't take photos of all the items I've tried. On my first visit I had the gingerbread sandwich cookie and a brownie slice. On this visit I initially purchased a caramel pecan shortbread cookie and a chocolate. brownie type cookie with sprinkles on it. After paying I saw a sign saying "the best blueberry muffin ever". I had to purchase one. So the first thing I'll say is in all their items you can taste the fresh butter. The chocolate items wow, what a blast of chocolate, I love ganache and they use it in their confectionary. I'll start with the muffin. I agree, best muffin ever,. The top is crispy, not what you'd expect at all from a muffin. The rest of the muffin is dense yet soft, packed with whole big blueberries. The top had that amazing sweet buttery flavour, I am still dreaming of that top! The cookies were also good, I wouldn't say the best ever but certianly not something you will find anywhere else. It looks like their items change regularly as they dont put signs, I have to ask the staff what each item is! The brownie, oh man so rich, the perfect combination of dense yet chewy yet soft and pillowy if that makes sense. The chocolate icing is to die for. The gingerbread sandwich cookie, amazing, only thing I didn't like is they roll the outside in Crystal sugar, its overkill, I would buy again but wipe off the sugar. Its not an obscene amount of sugar but too much when the cookie and filling is nicely sweet. Much respect to the ladies baking this stuff right infront of you in the store. Please go and support this business so they stick around. To the business, my...

"The Rudest Thing" would have been a more fitting name for this place.
I had the misfortune of visiting this place expecting a premium experience for the exorbitant prices they charge. Instead, I was met with a level of rudeness and condescension that left me feeling utterly humiliated.
From the very beginning, the staff was condescendingâfrom the ordering process on phone to picking up the cake. On a $200 cake, they had the nerve to tack on a $10 charge for a name banner. But when I went to pick it up, the banner was missing. When I asked for a refund on banner, I was told to follow up later because the pastry chef had left for the day.
When I insisted that the banner was missing, they bombarded me with arguments and then asked me to sign a refund agreement on a piece of paper. An agreement⌠for a $10 refund? Can you believe it? That is so condescending and disrespectful. In the end, I walked out without the money, telling them to keep it as a tipâconsider it a reward for their utter lack of class.
Whatâs worse, for all their arrogance, the final product was laughably below standardâcompletely unworthy of the price tag. The lack of quality matched their lack of courtesy, making the entire experience a bitter pill to swallow.
Baker might think theyâre above it all, but they clearly donât understand that real class comes from treating people with respect. I left feeling not only ridiculed but also deeply disappointed. Save your money and your dignityâgo somewhere that actually knows how to treat customers with the respect...
Read moreNot a returning customer! Spent almost $500 for a custom hockey cake and cookies, I'm never returning to this store. When you order a custom cake for a 9 years old, you usually have certain "asks" that are told at the time of order and expected to be fulfilled because that's what you are paying for and in this matter "paying a lot". Weeks ago at the time of order, I specifically asked for white chocolate shavings on the cake as the birthday boy requested it. They told me no problem. I gave them the name and the age of my boy in the email ( so no mistakes are done while reading someone hand writing). When I called the day of pick up, the girl over the phone told me, " by the way, we found out, last night, when we were baking your cake, that we don't have the white chocolates shavings so we just put the sprinkles. Don't worry, it looks cute". EXCUSE ME!! Did you forget that it was a custom cake and you can't make changes on your own without consulting me?!?! And then the worst part, they spelled the birthday boy name WRONG!! How could you do that! Unfortunately, I was not the one picking up the cake, otherwise I would have made a big stink right then and there :)
Such a shame as I just moved to Oakville and getting custom cakes for all the occasions is my thing. They lost a customer who would have been...
