A&W Canada — Restaurant in Ontario

A&W always has great food but tonight. 10pm Tuesday night, we try drive through. Drive through is down. But me and my friend are on our way to work. We figure ordering 2 teen burgers and 2 Root Beers shouldn’t be all that complicated. We ask to just tell the guy our order, and we’ll wait for it, as there was nobody at the counter at the time. No, can’t, have to come in. Ok, it’s my friend’s first time trying A&W and I tell her it’s really good, we’ll order inside. There is 1 guy in front of me. Asking about all the items on the menu. At this point, there are 3 more people behind me, waiting to order. The guy finally decides on a 6 piece chicken strip. This took about 5 minutes to get to. Instead of moving on until the guy knew what he wanted, just sat there and waited for him. And then the customer asks to get money exchanged. The guy gave a couple bills to the worker in the kitchen, and now everyone is just standing still. Just waiting. This is another minute or two. Comes back with a handful of 5’s. At this point the customer asks, “well how much for the meals?”

I get patience with customers. I get trying to help people through their order, but at this point, between not being able to just tell this guy my order of 2 mama burgers and 2 pops in the drive through, to him not moving this customer along at some point, with 4 people behind him waiting, I’be waited over 15 minutes to order 2 burgers. I left, went through the drive through at Taco Bell, ordered, payed and got our food before that 1 guy got his food.

My friend, still looking forward to trying this burger I’ve been hyping up said “he must be done by now” ok, let’s go back. Even though we already have our Taco Bell. She goes in, (cause I’ve had enough of this guy) orders 2 mama burgers and a chicken buddy burger.

That’ll be a 5 minutes wait.

It is now 10:29. I was told that I cannot tell the guy my order at 10:05. The food is great. The service is the worst...

Customer's BEWARE from this manager Amanda W at Dougal location. I've witnessed a customer being harassed from her because her uneducated math couldn't calculated the receipt. Furthermore, she has threatened several customers for absolutely no reason. I think its related to her racism in her blood just a guess. Also another customer witnessed her picking up a dropped sandwich and rewrapped it, so the customer called her out on it, and she threatened her to leave with her attitude. All in one week. The head office apparently are aware of this issue and conducting an investigation. On 21/08 my friend and her sister ordered from there, there was a huge mess up on the order. They refused to assist us and said "call the head office and see if we care". I get it that they don't have the appropriate education and probably she'll never be a manager anywhere else. No wonder size matters. That Amanda is definitely racist, we witnessed her recorded video yelling at people different ethnicities and the Caucasian, very polite. I maybe Caucasian but racism will not be tolerated. Do not order from this dirty place, they don't wash their hands I bet. She also keep saying her husband is a police officer 😆😆. Clearly she's a dirt bag and head office will fire her. Surprised no one got her name that oversized Uhaul. Update: It appears that this restaurant is going to have big problems coming to that moron named Amanda W since she still worms there. Expect a surprise visit from the government and believe me A and W assitant manager Amanda if you dare to yell or threat with me ever, you'll be humiliated all over this country and will sit behind bars female dog, I dare you to have an employee from that location that performs the illegal acts. This time you'll face the Law. Mark my words. You people need to stand up record...

This morning I went to this branch restaurant for a burger because I had a coupon mailed to me by A&W. It seems like a good and yummy one. I went there with my son, so I ordered one teen burger with rings for him by showing that coupon to the waiter. After paid by my credit card, while we were waiting for our meal. My son said he would like to have a drink, so I looked at menu display sign showing there is one teen burger combo which contains not only our teen burger, rings but also root beer at the same price of our coupon meal. I told a lady on the counter that I would like to change to a teen burger combo, instead of a teen burger with rings. This happened less than 2 minutes after my payment for my coupon meal. The lady replied "NO" to me and insisted saying that I already paid for it. With a rude attitude and arrogant tone, another gentleman waiter came and listened to my request of change, she kept saying "NO" to that waiter for my request. Later, while I was typing on a survey kiosk to leave a comment with what I had been through. That lady waitress came and pulled the power cord of the kiosk out, which stop me doing that. When I said I am going to report this to her company, she threatened me by having my car plate number. This incident caused me and my son in great disappointment and upset with the serving experience at your local A&W (3090 Dougll Ave, Windsor, ON), which we went there much time for our family gathering. After this, I am not sure I am going back again. Most of your A&W employees are courtesy and welcome your customers. She is the one I hope it won't' ruin your business...
