Torus Donuts is truly a delectable gem in Windsor, Ontario. As a vegan there are not many places to find delicious treats and as big supporter of local business I had always wanted to try Torus. When they announced that they would start having vegan donuts (Wednesdays and Saturdays) I was stoked. Having tried vegan donuts at several other places between Detroit and London the bar had been set pretty high. But woah did Torus blow past the competition! These vegan yeasted donuts reminded me of a good classic donut (from back before I was vegan) They had 4 different offerings: Sprinkle donuts, Chocolate Dip, Apple Fritter and an Cookies and cream donut that was stuffed with a vegan cookie and cream buttercream!

I am so glad to have taken a chance and tried these amazing donuts. On top of that the service at Torus is wonderful, the staff is warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is very nice. My one recommendation to anyone looking to try Torus is show up early because their donuts are made fresh daily and once they sell out they are gone for the day.

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting a newly discovered gem in Windsor, Ontario. Me and my husband were greeted by a smiling and interactive gentleman.

The first thing that caught my attention was the fantastic array of flavors available. Tori’s offers an extensive selection of mouth-watering options, ranging from classic favorites like glazed and chocolate to unique creations like coconut cream and Raspberry cheesecake .Each bite was a burst of delightful flavors that left me craving for more.

The store is beautifully decorated with bright colors .The donuts themselves are a work of art. They are freshly made, fluffy, and perfectly glazed. The quality of the ingredients used is evident in every bite. Whether you prefer the classics or want to explore more adventurous flavours.

Visiting from out of town and this doughnut shop had great reviews so I decided to check it out. The shop itself is nice, clean and welcoming with their doughnuts on display in glass cases. The selection seems pretty good and they even offer vegan options. I bought a half dozen box for someone else so did not try all the flavours. I had the crème brûlée doughnut myself as that is usually my go to flavour when offered. The dough itself was actually kind of disappointing. It’s a yeasted dough, and that they do well. The texture, bite and springiness of the dough was nice however the flavour was really lacking for me. Even with the custard (I would’ve liked it filled vs dolloped on the top), there was much to yearn for in terms of flavour. I would give it another try perhaps in a different flavour but I don’t expect it to be much different since the dough...
